“I was recommended Thurai Auto Services Ltd by a friend. After taking my car to them I was treated reallg well by Bala & Vibesh. They did a oil & filter service this was £160.00 cheaper than main dealer and my Idrive on my BMW was updated too. They use genuine parts from the dealers and not the cheaper Euro Car Parts alternative. I will definitely be taking my car here from now on. They are honest and humble.”

“Recently I bought a new car from Ashburton - I had no idea about the place as I do not live in that area. I saw the car on Auto Trader and also read some good reviews but some really bad reviews too about the garage/trader. However, i thought I will take the trouble to visit the garage reluctantly as I was not sure what to expect. To my surprise and pleasure, it was great to meet the owner, Peter. Not only was he very helpful and courteous but he didn't put any pressure on me to purchase the car. In fact, i was given the time to discuss with my wife about the purchase once we decided on a price - very rare these days. Most would asked me to put down a non-refundable deposit! When I went to pick the car a couple of days later, Peter went through all the details pretty thoroughly with me. Not only that, he even said that should I encounter any problems, not to hesitate to contact him. I would say I received excellent service and very pleased about my purchase. And I will not hesitate to recommend him from the experience I have had.”

I was in East Croydon for highly distressing personal reasons (to appear as a witness in Family Court) when a wheel bearing went in my Subaru. The AA (who I had called) highly recommended Kinghams, then escorted me there. They thought they could it relatively easily and that I’d be able to travel on down to Cornwall to visit my son and grandchildren who I haven’t seen for a year. . Sadly, the more they looked at the car the more problems they found. I was kept informed (so efficiently by video film) and difficulties arose because of the well-publicised shortage of parts. They eventually fixed my problems by bastardising one of their new, for-sale cars leaving it unsaleable until September when the parts can be replaced by Subaru. This is almost unimaginable service. They were kind, courteous, informative and great in every way. They have eventually managed a top class job of getting my car safely back on the road. “Thumbs up from me for an impressive service, the guys at Hobbs are very knowledgeable and very helpful, had an MOT booked first thing Tuesday morning, checked car over Monday (nothing like leaving it to the last minute) and found an LED mirror indicator unit wasn't working, phoned Hobbs as there seemed to be variations of the product, but within minutes they had found the part, (genuine replacement , which was also around a third cheaper) ordered one and had in in the shop in a matter of hours, allowing me to collect it, fit it, and keep my MOT appointment. Thank you guys. Oh and yes it did pass.”

Aparently one of the windscreen wipers was just about worn out enough which to cause my car to fail the MOT once but they guy there just changed it, gave me a new one for free and did not charge me for the re-run of the MOT.
