“Very lucky to have this cafe on our doorstep. Kate (the owner) and her team are always welcoming and make a special fuss of our dog Luna even if we just walk by. Great selection of cakes all lovingly made by Kate and a great selection of food for breakfast & lunch. Kate also runs a Supper Club on a Thursday evening where she creates a varied 3 course meal each week. We have been on several occasions & have been delighted with the dishes and wine. Highly recommend for brunch, lunch, amazing cakes or a treat at the Supper Club. Not forgetting the cakes made to order for any celebration. Ordered several for various family celebrations. All delicious & loved by all our guests!”

They are small but can devote more time for you, showing the buyers around the house. “Tried two of the barbers so far, and both were outstanding. My first time trying out Turkish barbers. It made me realise how indifferent normal barber shops are to the customer experience. While most people think buzz cuts are easy and anyone can do it, the attention to detail shown by the Artizan barbers show how useless other barbers are. Value add services include the scalp wash, shoulder massage, eyebrow trim, ear hair burn and hot towel, none of which normal barbers ever do. Well worth the price. The complimentary tea, coffee and soft drink offer just adds to the hospitality.”

“Absolutely fantastic food and even better hospitality. As soon as we entered we felt welcome. We had a jug of passion fruit juice which was nice, if a bit sweet. For starters we had the nundu and the mogo. The mogo had a nice flavour and was a good consistency. The nundu was absolutely fantastic and I really recommend it. Traditionally it's just beef fat, however, as the server explained, you can't serve grilled fat on its own in the UK, so it had beef with it. It was so full of flavour and seasoned perfectly. For mains we had sukama wiki with ugali and charsi lamb curry with naan. The sukama had a lovely flavour and went well with the ugali. I tried the curry with the ugali and it didn't go as well. The curry was spicy but really rich. We had some karak chai to finish the meal and packed up everything we didn't eat. Our server was great - very friendly and knowledgeable - and I got the feel from the restaurant that they love serving people and making people happy with their food.”

The senior hair stylist Paige was very chatty and we had amazing conversations throughout the 75 minutes process. I will definitely recommend her and this salon to my friends. The rest of the staff too were very welcoming and helpful. The salon was kept near and tidy and easy to locate. They were well managed and the customers are well taken care off. Left the place feeling great.”
