“We hired the nest upstairs for our wedding reception with a buffet of pizza and sides. The staff were a pleasure to deal with from start to finish, they catered to our guests vegan and other dietary requirements with zero fuss. The room looked gorgeous, we only added a few jars of flowers which they let us drop off and set up earlier in the day. The food was sublime, several people commented on how good it was and it was devoured. All of the staff were so lovely, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely book the venue for any future events and would very much recommend it.”

“Lovely clean shop and very polite staff. I always order a large bacon and egg sandwich, cut in half with crispy bacon and the eggs yolk and white mixed together before frying. It is always perfect. I especially like the bread cakes. I used to buy sandwiches form a sandwich shop a hundred yards from this shop. That was until I saw a member of staff having a smoke outside then coming in and making my sandwich without washing her hands, it was disgusting, god knows what germs I may have caught! Thank god I found Emma's Sandwich shop I now pass 4 sandwich shops to get my sandwich from Emma's.”

“A real mother's day treat breakfast at Blakes. First ever visit. Daughter booked for us she's been to the garden centre before but has never managed to get in here. There's no booking normally so you just have to stand and wait for a table. In the past she's been told an average of 45mins wait which she hasn't done so this was a first for us both. Lovely food excellent service I can see why its so popular.”

“The best place in city centre, where you can grab a coffee! The place where..the coffee is A Proper Coffee. Came here for a coffee in the Sunday afternoon and the place was very busy ( it was around 3pm). The coffee shop has an outside seating area, where you can smoke and is not gonna rain on you. The person who served us, her name: Anda 10/10 polite, very helpful, friendly, a big smile on her face, something you want to see, gives you a good vibe. The coffee: 10/10. Usually when we order a latte, either is to frothy or none. This was amazing. They even had a staff member who was coming outside to clean the tables, bringing drinks to the table. This coffee shop is from another dimension! Well done!”

“Eller coffee cafe is a small but very welcoming place. Mark & his staff are always friendly & they keep the cafe very clean There is indoor & outdoor seating (under a canopy), all spaced for social distancing. A nice selection of different coffee & tea's, cold drinks, hot & cold sandwiches, cakes. I've been here many a time for a brew & a butty, read my kindle & just forget about the world for half an hour.”

“Found by fluke I stopped here for a night when out cycle touring. It's a gem! The pub is a digital detox zone so no mobile phones(!), really welcoming & cosy. The ensuite rooms are a refreshing change from bland identikit hotels, are spotless and the breakfast was lovely. Loved it and if/when returning to Leeds won't hesitate to book again. Thank you ☺️”

“The quiz is good went with my dad and there is lovely people in the the land lady is lovely and they have really nice red wine too. If people are too noise when the quiz question are going she asks them nicely to respect others. Social distance is also good as well clean toilet. Lovely log burnes as well for winter.”
