“My girlfriend and I ate here recently when taking a day trip to Whetherby and the surrounding area. My girlfriend is Indian so she has high expectations when it comes to Indian food. I'm pleased to say that neither of us were disappointed! The food was absolutely delicious and high quality, the only slight negative was the portion sizes were on the small side but the taste more than made up for this. The restaurant is really nicely decorated and has a relaxing atmosphere, and the staff were friendly and polite. If we're ever in the area again in future we'd definitely go back. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”

“Always a friendly welcome and consistently good food. Everything is really tasty and the specials menu provides extra options too. Visited several times and L’Aquila has become our ‘go to’ Italian restaurant in Boston Spa.”

“Called in with a friend for an early evening meal on a Thursday evening. Staff were excellent and judged our needs perfectly. We weren't rushed but also not ignored. The food was top notch. The tarka dhall was just gorgeous and so was everything else we ate. I would not hesitate to reccomend this restaurant. I don't often give 5 star reviews but this is well deserved and we will be returning.”

“Incredibly busy and short staffed, hence queue time for a table and further wait for food, but staff all very cheery, jovial and efficient. You don't mind the wait if it's worth it and it was. Dog friendly establishment. Outdoor seating to the front on the pavement. More seating upstairs. Gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options available. I had a Fentimans ginger beer and scrambled eggs on toast. Lots of plentiful good home cooking: homemade soups, homemade chips, homemade pastries and cakes. Mmmm n a nom nom. A revisit methinks.”

“Great to find somewhere local that does gluten free fish and chips, as my partner is coeliac and it is usually poorly catered for. She was very happy to find out the curry sauce was gluten free too. Honestly one of the best chippies I've had!”

“Excellent Gluten Free fish and chips that I have missed out on for the best part of 15 years. Good quality fish and potatoes cooked traditionally in Beef dripping. Delicious. Good service and nice set up with the option of drive-thru ordering or normal counter service or even a restaurant if you want to make an event of it. Good environmentally friendly packaging on the takeaway which could be even better if they could lose the polystyrene container for mushy peas etc. Looking forward to the Gluten Free sausage becoming available in Outwood as it is in Pudsey.”

“Me and my son dropped by for a portion of chips and some sauce. The seating area was far from empty and yet it was quiet, and if a place is full and quiet it means the food has everyone's interest! To say we had a small order we were addressed and spoken to as Kings. A great gentleman served us and he engaged with my boy like we were regular visitors. The food was great and I will most definitely return the next time I can.”

“Beautiful cosy restaurant with a lovely warm welcome and exceptional food. I had monkfish from the specials board and it didn't disappoint. Cooked perfectly, utterly delicious. “Short notice decision to book for lunch on a midweek. Pleasingly busy given the current financial climate. Nice menu, great staff. Mum loved being able to have a smaller portion from main menu. Steak pie was excellent. Couldn't find a single piece of fat or gristle if I tried. Would be back more often if lived locally.”

“Really great place, we were immediately welcomed by lovely staff and were quickly served drinks, they also served the most lovely bread to start and our food quickly followed, the presentation was amazing and the food was extremely delicious same with the dessert. Also couldn't be happier with the covid safety measures with glass screens between tables and staff wearing visors. Would definitely recommend.”

“Being racing fanatics and frequent visitors to the Wetherby races, as a couple with a young child we were very excited to hear that the tour de France was going to be in Yorkshire. Possibly a once in a lifetime opportunity. Over the years we’ve tried numerous hotels and B & B’s in Yorkshire. We stumbled across what will now become our own little Idaho for future events. Wharfe house is a charming cottage, which is situated a minutes’ walk from town and a ten minute walk from Wetherby race track. All the local amenities are within walking distance as well as transport services to Harrogate and Leeds. Perfect! The accommodation itself is spotless and full of original features. Our bedroom was very spacious with a flat screen TV (which didn’t get used a lot due to our itinerary) and tea and coffee making facilities. The owners were very flexible and allowed us to take on an additional room as one of our friends had been declined their original accommodation due to a double booking. The breakfast was excellent. The food was mostly sourced from a local butcher (we’re not sure this is always the case we’ll ask on our next visit) and the eggs from chickens in the back garden! We really enjoyed our stay and the hospitality of Pauline and Chris. We couldn’t recommend it highly enough. If you’re in Wetherby, or even if you just want a weekend away in a scenic part of Yorkshire this is the ideal place for comfort and old fashioned style.”

“An amazing Sunday lunch from the team at Cora: unexpected and out of the ordinary! If you are looking for Sunday roast at the pub, this ain’t it, but if you are looking for a complex and well designed menu that will fill you with joy, not just your stomach, then this is it. The service was friendly and welcoming, and they were happy to allow us to take our time, even when they were winding down for the afternoon. Definitely recommended, and a great location if you want to avoid the centre of Leeds!”
