Fairfield Lakes Park
Fairfield Lakes Park is a beautiful tourist attraction located in Lafayette, Indiana, United States. The Indiana Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) partners with the Park Department to develop and manage Fairfield Lakes, which are stocked with bass, crappie, bluegill, and catfish. A fishing license is required to fish in the lakes, with the northeast lake being stocked with rainbow trout every spring. Park amenities include a handicap accessible water fountain and restroom, as well as a walkway to the northwest lake with 2 handicap-fishing pads. At the south end of the park, visitors can access Wildcat Creek for canoeing. This scenic river is designated as a State Scenic River, one of only three in Indiana. Mowed trails surround the lakes for leisurely walks and the use of boats with electric trolling motors is allowed.
