"i wouldn’t normally leave a review for a hospital, but this is by far the best ER and hospital experience i have ever had. first, they saw me very quickly. my partner and i walked into the ER, and they had me in a room in less than 20 minutes. i had to have my appendix removed, and i felt that every single staff member we interacted with went above and beyond to make my surgery and stay as comfortable and safe as possible. my surgery was quick and without complication. a huge thank you to all the nurses, CNAs, techs, doctors, surgeon, anesthesiologists, front desk people, cafeteria employees, janitor, and anyone else i saw! i am so happy to have my appendix that has been giving me pain for so long gone, and i am thankful to have been in a hospital where it felt like everyone working there actually wanted to help people."

"Unbelievable circumstances landed 4 of my family members in the ER for different reasons in a week . We couldn't have gotten better treatment anywhere . One of our members was admitted for a few days with great medical staff . Shout out to "Dr. A" (Adetomiwa). A professional caring hospital Dr. That kept a close eye on all of them ."

"A family member I care for with dementia was brought in by ambulance from assisted living with injuries related to a fall. She arrived around 11-11:15pm, I arrived (within 30 minutes) of her arrival I was directed to cardiac room 4. Everyone at the beginning was very welcoming. Once I got back there she was on monitors and was taken to radiology for an xray and ct scan within 15 minutes. When she was brought back they tried to place her in the wrong room, which luckily was occupied. I was told once they were complete it should take about 30 minutes for them to have results. When she returned they connected but failed to turn back on her monitors, this was concerning to me as we were in a cardiac room with no explanation to me as well why we’re in a cardiac room. The only time a nurse checked in on her was when I asked for an update and they only popped their head in the door to tell me they were still pending the X-rays. Also, a doctor never came to speak with me or see her while I was there even at discharge. I will admit she was sleeping, however it felt very neglectful. After 2 hours the monitors were turned back on remotely without anyone coming in the room. Given we were communicated 30 minutes for an x ray and ct scan the update I was provided after 1.5hours, and only after having to request an update, I was told the ct was complete and the X-rays were still pending. It took 4 hours from the time they took her back for the x rays to get results. When we were finally discharged they told me she said she only uses oxygen sometimes, I corrected them and let them know she’s on oxygen 24/7 now, this was changed after a visit to the same er on 10/26. She is seeing a wellstar neurologist, is on medication used for dementia, and this was the only time they verified anything she said. Since wellstar uses EPIC, I would have expected them to know she’s diagnosed with dementia and to take extra steps. I left feeling very concerned about the overall quality of care my family member received also wondering what would have happened had she not have had an advocate. As a caregiver we go through a lot of emotions, and to spend time trying to care for a loved one who needs care and not receive it is unacceptable to me from a medical facility. I understand this is a medical facility and there are more urgent cases, and heavy workload, but they have to do a better job."

Where is the government on this?Why is this hospital still receiving patients?People die before they are given medical care. "Thanks so much to the registration staff Sherico (? I believe was her name?), Nurse Ryan, and Dr. Dawson for their attentive and caring service for my husband this morning in the ER. Saw so many negative reviews earlier, but we had a very good experience. We were seen by triage nurse quickly, waited a short while, and were seen promptly by nurse and Dr. The entire visit took 2.5 hr for check in, triage, assessment, labs, getting results and needed prescriptions/referral. Every interaction we had exemplified excellent customer service. The patient access staff and the patient advocate were both very friendly as well. Very glad we went to LaGrange after very bad experiences with family members in Columbus. Hope we never have to be back, but at least we'll know where to go if we have to."
