Easy no-hassle move in, friendly neighbors, up-to-date appliances, and amazing trails and scenery just down the road at Lake Lafayette (easy access from a woodsy trail I can get to without leaving the Villas). And a nice little bit of private patio space doesn't hurt."

"Updated: I have lived at Park Avenue Villas for almost 2 years. The reason I am giving 3 stars is because the continuing issue with pests (roaches). Every 2-3 months, I will spot a bug in my bathroom. This has been consistent since I moved into the apartment. I have never lived with bugs before or struggled with pest control before living in this apt. The apartment is older, poorly sealed, and requires some serious internal renovation and care. There are also a few other isssues. My front window is almost impossible to open. The rent went up significantly last year ( $1200 for an older one bedroom) and there is an issue with homelessness/ crime near the complex. However, the apartment is conveniently located and has good storage."

"I moved into Park Avenue Villas after selling my home. Ms. Doreen was the sweetest. Very efficient and my moving was a breeze. In my two years on the property. I have never had any issues. I enjoyed the community and my neighbors. This location is so convenient to everything. I recommend this property to anyone that is looking for a good community. Very safe and quiet. I knew all of my neighbors and I felt safe day or night. Freddie the maintenance guy is very friendly and very helpful. I have moved to Chicago but I had to leave this review on a great property."

"TL:DR - The property management team with Doreen and Freddie are PHENOMENAL. The apartments are decent sized and lovely! I stayed at Park Avenue Villas for 2 years in their 1 bedroom apartment, and loved it. If they had a 2 bedroom, which I now need, I would have likely stayed because of how much I appreciate Doreen and team :) The 4 stars: Maintenance Requests were fulfilled quickly, preventative & routine maintenance was conducted in individual apartments as well as throughout the complex and decent notification was provided via notes on the doors. Doreen truly advocates for her residents, when I had an issue with the lawn care folks accidentally cutting my hose, she made sure it got replaced. When a different company left the complex messed up from construction or digging (I forget) she made sure to course correct the issue PROMPTLY. When I was working from home, and seeing patients that needed HIPAA privacy, the management team worked with me to enter the apartment during my non-patient hours. These are single story units so you don't have folks walking on top of you if that's something you don't enjoy. The apartments themselves are nice, fairly neutral and blend with different styles well. There is decent space but you may need to bring some additional storage type things, especially if taller cabinets are hard for you. The -1 star is more for the property owners and some of their policies - 1) I really feel that pet deposit plus pet rent is a scam, it should be one or the other. 2) There were some issues that I felt were important that the owners would not green light to fix. Such as a window screen that was poorly fitted so that I could not open the window without inviting TONS of bugs in. 3) The dramatic rent increase from 860$ (without the pet rent) to 1000$ for a 1 bedroom was not my favorite. Neutral comment - because of how the complex is set up, there can be some issues with mailing address being different then GPS navigation address which may impact your food and non USPS deliveries. I personally enjoy that feature because I don't like people know where I live, but some others may not."
