AdventHealth Medical Group Family Medicine at Riverview

"I wanted to believe this would be a better experience than BayCare and it started that way and took a deep plunge. They had my name wrong on my record. When I went to get my prescription, it was not filled due to this. I called Advent Health (not knowing what the issue was at this time) and they basically told me to call the pharmacy to figure it out and the most they can do is resubmit the prescription. I'm an asthma patient and hot humid months are a nightmare for me and now I'm without an inhaler waiting for this prescription to go through. Then I get a bill that's $500 for "outpatient procedures" for a physical that had absolutely no additional work. My insurance covered half. My carrier covers annual physicals and this is my first one in years! With BayCare, even if there is a copay, it's $40. What kind of physical costs $500?? Without insurance a check-up costs half that at other practices. Edit: I disputed the ridiculous charge for a physical and AdventHealth insisted there was nothing wrong with a $500 charge. I paid the bill but still received another statement with an amount due with my name incorrect again. I called customer service and was met with a rude representative. I called to refill my prescription and was told I would receive a call back within 24 hours with and update. It's been a week. I don't understand how Advent Health is in business at all"

"The nurse practitioner I seen was not helpful at all. She just referred me out to another provider. I should have read the reviews prior to going. No wonder they had same day appointments."

"Incompetent! They ran my insurance, assured me I was in network, and then when I took the day off and drove down for my appointment, they informed me that I was out of network and demanded $325 cash for the appointment. Apparently the Indian call center they use to book appointments screwed up."

"The front desk receptionist was so kind and welcoming for it so be such an early appointment. This made me feel great as a new patient. The end nursing assistant took me right in the the visit room with no delays. My Dr. Margarette Lespinasee was patient with me and very knowledgeable during my physical appt. Easy to speak to, I would definitely recommend and see her again. So glad I didn’t rely on mixed online reviews."

I can’t say enough about Sasha who was with me in the back. She was very personable and friendly. From being greeted to going over my concerns she made me feel heard and not judged. I have had different experiences at this office, however I am very grateful for the experience and the service I received at my last visit. Thank you!"
