“Fantastic Hotel, well priced and gave us a small extra gift for my wife's 30th birthday. We will be sure to return when we next visit Edinburgh without children. Whilst I'm sure children are welcome, it definitely feels like more of an adult hotel! Only thing I would suggest would be upgrading the TVs in the rooms to allow casting media to them, but this would be the only thing we would change!”

“The setting, food, and staff are all exceptional! We had a lovely table, staff were so very helpful and friendly. Our food was amazing! We loved everything from our drinks, appetizers, main courses and desserts. It has been our very first trip to Scotland and we will definitely be back to visit the Sheep’s Heid Inn!”

“On the main road in Uphall, so very easy to get to by car, bus, bike or walking. Food is soooooo tasty (I have done sit in dinner and just eat breakfast). Staff are so friendly.”

“Nice and clean room's. Plenty of space to dine and the bar area is reasonably sized. Parking, Plenty of spaces and will fit the larger SUV style car's too. Staff are polite, friendly and very helpful. Pool, steam room and the changing area's all in good order and clean. Can't remember on the pool area but the room's and bar are wheelchair accessible. In house WIFI available. Would I visit again? Yes yes I would. We found it a very good spot for excursions as it's located near the main road's and made the day trips start well. No body wants to sit in traffic at the very start of a day out. Forth bridge and Kelpies are very close by if you want to cross them off your bucket lists quickly.”

“Great location with a very welcoming and helpful/accommodating staff. Small rooms, but when you're away most of the time, it doesn't matter as much...as long as things are clean and tidy. Bathroom was super small too. The location is convenient. This hotel is close to everything.”

“Great Central location for exploring the beautiful city of Edinburgh. Professional polite and very helpful staff. Lovely food available both in the morning and evening. I would recommend upgrading your room to Premier plus to be able to use a stable WiFi service and a little extra comfort and convenience in your room .”

“Great spot to end a holiday. Great view of the 4th bridge crossing. Good restaurant in the lobby and perfect location for access to fuel before returning our rental to the airport.”

“Myself and my partner only stayed for one night, but the reception we got was fantastic from arrival to departure. Jamie on the reception desk was lovely and very welcoming. We then went to the orangery for lunch and the staff in there were just as welcoming. After a visit yo the spa we went for a walk around the grounds before heading for a quick drink before getting ready for dinner which we booked in the dungeon restaurant. We were greeted by Ryan who was very courteous. We went down for dinner and the food was very good. After dinner we deceded to have a little look around and ended up in the Library. After a little while we were greeted by Ryan again, and we go chatting about the castle with him, we were then very surprised to find out he had only been working there a week, as he was very knowledgeable about the history in that short space of time. We will definitely be visiting again.”

“Excellent location for exploring Edinburgh. We had a fairly decent view too. The staff are all really friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfy and spacious, and you ha e everything you need. The breakfasts are good and there seems to be a decent selection of evening meals, even some you can take up to your room! It will certainly be our first choice whe we return.”

“We were so pleased with this hotel! During our booking, we asked for a quiet room which was accommodated and for which we are very grateful! The room and bathroom were in a very high standard, we felt really good here. Always helpful and smiling staff made our stay very pleasant. On the last day we tried the hotel restaurant and my goodness… It was amazing! absolutely phenomenal food. Thank you for a great stay and I can't imagine not coming back here again”

“Beautiful, comfortable rooms and delicious breakfasts. We stayed in a top floor room with walk-in wardrobe area and a huge bathroom with heated towel rails and waterfall shower; it was hard to leave! Staff members were all very friendly. It was a good location for us to walk into town. Would definitely stay here again!”

“A gorgeous hotel in a perfect location of Edinburgh. It is on Saint Andrews Square right next to the starting point of Edinburgh bus tours. The location is probably the best in the city. The rooms are large and comfy with beautiful decor and red notes everywhere (similar to Chateau Malmaison in France). The only downside is the lighting in the bedroom is a bit dark. The breakfast had a great selection and the service was good but it could of been better.”

“Stayed here with a friend at the end of August - I've stayed here before and it's always been great, but this time it was even better. The improvements made since my last stay in 2017 were fantastic, including the additions to the breakfast offerings. The rooms were lovely and clean,, and the staff were all so friendly and helpful. “My daughter and I stayed here for our last night in Edinburgh and were delighted with the warm greetings by staff. It was too early to check in when we arrived, but the staff still offered to take out bags. When we came back for check in the bags were already in our room! The rooms themselves were wonderful as well. There was a nice street view and clean and modern amenities. I will keep my eye out for Hotel Indigos for future trip planning!”

“We loved this hotel and our room had a stunning view of Edinburgh Castle. Any time of day was wonderful to sit and sip whisky! Loved the modern bathroom, coffee machine, oatcakes, and ample pillows. Staff were helpful and friendly and hotel was very clean”

“Accidentally got dropped here at the wrong Premier Inn. Lisa on front desk was very helpful in trying to book me in, then working out what hotel I was supposed to be at, and finally keeping me company while I waited for my lift. Thanks for all the help. I made it in the end”

“Free parking was a bonus, rooms very clean and comfortable. No fuss service and an excellent restaurant. Great location with a short drive into the main city. Docks were well worth a walk around.”

“Everything you'd expect for the price. Room was clean and had all the facilities we needed. The staff were polite and helpful. Breakfast was included and there was a restaurant/bar where you could buy food of an evening. There were also plenty of restaurants nearby and I saw other guests getting takeaways delivered. The location is ideal with plenty of regular buses, some nearby shops and lovely walks around the waterfront. There are some works going on as they're building the tramway but this wasn't a huge issue.”

“Perfect location, only 2 stops on the train from the city centre and cheaper than staying in centre of Edinburgh. Rooms were clean and bed was sooooo comfy, had a great sleep. Delicious breakfast in the morning, buffet eat all you want cooked and continental.”

“Absolutely Fabulous Hotel! We came here to rest after our flight in from London. There was a very kind woman at reception and gave us a warm welcome into the hotel. Big room, with very comfy beds. The room had a Smart TV with apps such as YouTube, Netflix and All 4. Bathroom was spotless, not a single mark. Edinburgh Airport tram stop is only a few minutes walk away.”
