“We stopped for a late lunch and a few pints, and had a lovely chat at the bar. Great food and we really enjoyed the hospitality. Most authentic meal we've had in Ireland. A very warm and friendly place!”

“We always go back the the Universal. Class wine list, great cocktails, nice beers on tap and good small plates of food- kitchen well organised and spotless. Great staff and a nice atmosphere- its just a lovely place to bring friends when they are visiting Galway. Warm, inviting and comfortable with a nice crowd.”

“Call in few times while staying in O'connors, Food was great, staff very pleasant, especially Margaret, who gave me a Dingle gin bottle as a souviner, she is a lovely lady and made us very welcome”

“A lovely home with a lovely host! This little B&B was a great choice. The owner, Victoria, was so nice and made sure we were well looked after. The accommodation was very comfortable, clean, and breakfast included a very tasty continental assortment of foods. I definitely recommend staying here if you are in the area!”

“Cannot recommend this place highly enough. Stayed here two nights ago. Hiking The Kerry Way from The Black Valley to Glencar, the travellers inn was a welcome relief. Stayed in dorm (the only reason I gave the three stars, I am not sure any dorm would get 5 stars unless you had the room to yourself). The staff were all so friendly , the food was good after a big day hiking , a pub on site (added bonus). The ladies working the kitchen the following morning again fab. A really delightful Spanish Manager running the pub. Well done guys, you are doing a smashing job.”

“The room was great. The parking situation is not great. You park, then go get your visor tag, walk back to the parking lot, and then walk back to the hotel. When you leave, you have to do it all again in reverse. I would stay again.”

“Well, I am laying down in one of their rooms right now. Checked in over an hour ago. I'll update if my experience changes but I doubt it will. THIS HOTEL IS GREAT! Lady at reception provided the best service I have gotten in the 4 hotels I have stayed in. Room has all the same amenities and comforts as others. Even has mini split A/C unlike other 4 star hotels (i do not know if every room has this) Hotel is charming. This place is a gem. Hoping I get an appetite so I can try their restaurant. I'll be having breakfast in the morning here. No parking lot or garage. Need to park down the street. No big deal. Only thing I can possibly criticize so far.”

“A very pleasing B&B experience. Very high standard accommodation. Bedroom was extremely comfortable and we had a great view from our room.Exceptionally clean everywhere. A great selection of breakfast items, especially the tasty variety of cooked breakfasts. Maureen was beyond lovely to us and made us feel like we were at home.Would highly recommend this B&B. Unlikely you will find anything that will disappoint.”
