“Lovely and kind staff, quick service, tasty food with very good prices. The freshly made orange juice is heaven. Vegan, vegetarian and diary free food available too. Desserts are amazing, handmade in the restaurant. Wonderful place to have a nice and calm lunch or breakfest, especially when its sunny, the outside landscape is amazing, sitting next to the river. Perfect place for a lovely date as well ;)”

“I've been coming here for years and I think it's got to be one of the best cafes in the country. Delicious hot food from soups to sandwiches to fish and chips and a great selection of excellent cakes. They have vegan and gluten free options too. It's lovely to sit at one of the picnic tables outside on the summer or warm up inside on a cold winter's day.”

“Not sure what the poor reviews are about, we made a stop for the night in Killorglin and got some takeaway. Spoke to a lovely person over the phone, got our order ready within 20minutes abd the food was tasty! They even gave us free spring rolls and prawn crackers! Good stuff!!”

“Currently the only pub open on Sherkin. Good atmosphere. Short walk from Sherken pier, but recommend you take a good walk around Shrkin to work up a thirst beforehand. Local musicians most Sunday afternoons. Beautiful views across the harbour to Baltimore. Late afternoon and evening views can be spectacular. Last ferry during July/Aug departs Sherkin 20.45, but you can make arrangements with the ferry for a "special" (extra cost) beforehand.”

“Very nice, they keep it simple but tasty here and provide quick service whether collecting in store or ordering from home. Especially recommend the pizzas with their signature smoky flavour and the shawarma meat. Pizza deals and meal deals all very good value.”

“Myself and my fiancée had food here for our anniversary. We were welcomed by staff, did the whole system for Covid protocol. Sat down, had drinks, got our food and it was amazing from start to finish. Never enjoyed food as much as we did here. Staff were very friendly too. Would recommend to family and friends when visiting the location :)”

“Very tasty food! The food here was really great quality and so were the drinks! One tiny bit of criticism (or advice...) - the waiter, though really friendly and welcoming, didn't seem to know much about the menu items (which he apologised for). I understand that it's a very new menu though and there may be new staff, but it's good to make sure the staff know the menu well. I'd still highly recommend to anyone visiting Cork!”

“A grand pub, with a good range of beers, including Smithwicks and for a fiver a pint. It also has proper respect for sport, with a big screen and the commentary turned up, not intrusively but adequately. Nice crowd around the pool table too.”
