“On this trip to Cork we decided to us the The South Mall as we normally stay at The Maldron in John Redmond. The location is just perfect for the town's bars and restaurants. The Check In was was quick and efficient. However, the room allocated to us on arrival was not suitable. We contacted the reception staff who organized an alternate room within minutes. - I was impressed with the new room (the bed was fantastic) and the staff for sorting the small problem out quickly. We only used the bar a couple of times. However, again the staff was obliging and cheerful. The breakfast was very tasty and the selection was very good, this coupled with the breakfast staff who again were very helpful. Thank you The Maldron for making our weekend and kudos to your staff. We'll be booking soon for our next visit.”

“I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights along with my son who is studying in Cork. The room was perfect with two separate beds (one double, one single), the abundant and varied breakfast, an excellent gym complete with everything and functional, the large and complete bar/restaurant. The staff was kind and competent to my need, so all really good. The location of the hotel is really convenient for walking to the center and the train and bus station. I did not use the spa. If I return to Cork I will definitely stay here.”

“This spot really impressed me as an entertainment and Game Center. There were about 6 lanes of bowling, something like 40 pool tables or more, darts, and karaoke too. Plus downstairs there were huge TVs for sport viewing and Barcadia which was an awesome restaurant with arcade games. This is a great spot for kids and adults alike. Good bar with pleasant people. Plenty of space. Fairly large food menu. I’m guessing on weekends and evenings it can get extremely crowded. If you want to bowl in particular, make sure to make a booking. Fun spot.”

“Was served by Anne in mahon black Friday. The discount for the tvs 10% didn't appear when ordering by the kiosk. She somehow noticed and reduced the price by 10%. Was delighted to be honest. Tv was was 80 euro cheaper in argos than curry's and I got 37 euro extra off with discount and a 10 euro gift voucher. Thanks Anne its appreciated”

“I went in to look for a paint for my daughters bedroom, I found the staff helpful and nice. I didn't find the colour I was looking for, so the lady at the valspar counter mixed the exact colour I needed. I even got to add sparkle! Very good quality paint. Easy to apply. I will be back for some more paint soon. Thank you for your help and advice.”

“Popped in yesterday for lunch and it was my first time in the hotel despite being a Cork native. I wouldn't normally write a review for a hotel lunch but I just couldn't get over the staff. It felt like I'd popped into my nans house for a cuppa. They're so lovely and warm and welcoming, an absolute credit to the place.”
