"I am honestly extremely surprised by the number of good reviews for this place. I moved out of here a few months ago. When I first moved in, it was my first time getting an apartment alone, so I couldn’t say that was the best or worst experience. However, after moving out and into a new complex, I can confidently say Parker flats was the worst. When I first took a tour, Abby in the leasing office showed me around and was really nice and helpful answering all my questions. My mom was with me and explained this was my first apartment alone and Abby was great helping me. However that did not last long. After that first experience I never had a good experience again. They messed up so much stuff for me, the biggest issue including my pet deposit. They told me exactly how to take care of it, I did exactly what they told me. Then a month later I get told I never paid it, when I really did and did it exactly how they told me. However they messed it up on their end and put it towards my rent that month. I take responsibility for not catching that sooner, but as i stated this was my first time and i’m young so i was bound to make my own mistakes. However, they should have done better. After that, they told me I needed to pay it which added an extra $400 that I wasn’t expecting to my rent a month after I had already thought it was taken care of. May not seem like a lot, but as a young person living alone and getting that thrown at me unexpectedly it was really upsetting. Every time I would talk to them it always felt like there was an issue that suddenly came up that they should have told me prior. On top of all this, Abby was just extremely rude to me. I always felt uncomfortable or judged when talking to her. The other lady in the office, I believe her name was Lisa, was the opposite. She was always very kind and welcoming when I talked to her. The issues only grow as I get closer to moving out. I tell them I am not renewing my lease and I sign the e documents. But they don’t tell me anything after that. Then my rent on the online portal shows up saying I owe a couple hundred dollars more than i’ve ever paid, and i’m not even staying there for a full month before my lease is up so why would I be paying way more? I go to the office to talk to them and they say “Oh this always happens people are always asking about it”… if you are continually getting questions about the same problem why would you not warn your residents beforehand? Besides the issues with the leasing office, the apartments themselves are okay. Nothing too special, but not bad. The parking however is always a nightmare. Why am I paying for parking when 9 times out of 10 i’m parking on the streets or the public parking around the corner because there are never spots in the lot? If you don’t care about amenities then this is perfect for you because there really isn’t any. The gym is very small, there’s no pool. The best part is definitely the dog wash and how pet friendly it is. I will give them that. The location is perfect I love being close to Mainstreet. I really wish this place was better because I would love to stay, but after all these issues I was just counting down the days until my lease was up. I wish I could give this place 0 stars."

"My experience at Parker Flats was a 3.5. Since I can't do a half star, benefit goes to the business. TLDR - Parker Flats is a good apartment for individuals. Families will have a tough time because of the small size. Parking is a problem throughout the community. However, if you get close to the public lot, you'll have a short walk to parking. Staff is nice, but not flexible. The quality of the apartment and materials is cheap, which is my biggest complaint. All in all, this is a good starter apartment, but not somewhere I would live long term. Our experience at Parker Flats started when we sold our home. We wanted to downsize and cash out some equity. Parker Flats was our choice because we wanted to experience "tiny" life. We talked to several people in the parking lot before we moved in and asked if they liked it. They all said yes. At move in, the staff was friendly and accommodating. No issues with move in. Throughout our 2 years at Parker Flats, we were never unhappy (generally), but we were also never blown away by how happy we were. The small space is fun, but for a family of 4 with two kids under 5, we found that our family was growing out of it. The overall build quality of our apartment was cheap, in my opinion. No high end trims. Small refrigerator. Small sink. Cheap faucets. One of our doors were hollow at the bottom where they put a door stop - so the first time the door swung open, it put a hole in the door. In the end, we were held responsible for this. The floor, at move in, was separating and missing in certain areas. Our biggest complaint was that our microwave never quite worked right. It always tripped the breaker. Maintenance was always out fast and claimed they fixed the issue - but it was never completely fixed. Noise above was an issue. 5:30AM was our 2nd floor neighbors wake up time, apparent by their walking around upstairs. Parking is a nightmare at Parker Flats. Luckily, we lived right next to the Church so that provided more. But, when you have 2 kids, groceries, backpacks, etc., your screwed! That was our situation more often than not. And when we double parked for 10 minutes to bring that stuff in late at night, we were told not to by the staff. Made it hard. During Parker Days, plan on a 10 minute walk to get home. I was prepared and brought my bicycle with me. They offer free parking at their new property, Peak 86, but that's a good 15 minute walk. Not realistic with any kind of load. Keep in mind that this community has very little extras. The community area is a cheap BBQ that doesn't work right. The fire pits are hooked up to a 20lb tank and normally empty/not working. No pool. Small clubhouse. The gym is small and offers very little. I liked that each treadmill had a TV. Interesting to me, they rarely have any tenant appreciation events. My current apartment has already had 4.. in 2 months! I remember 2-3 that Parker Flats had, normally involving dog cleaning or something specific. Be prepared that the staff is not always flexible. They often quote the "fair housing act" for things. Example, everyone I know gets a discount on monthly rent renewal when you call and negotiate. Not us at Parker Flats. Our current apartment already did that for us. We also had a camper. No flexibility. No parking inside. No power cable because it's a tripping hazard. Again, current apartment is cool with it. I understand stern policies, but take care of the people that pay their rent early, every month, for 2 years straight. In the end, we lost our deposit + more as their maintenance team had to do work. I voiced my concern to the property manager, maintenance manager, and assistant manager that the build quality of the apartment caused some of the damage that was found (example, door mentioned above). None of them responded to this and passed the charges on to me. With those things said, we loved being close to downtown. At night, Parker Flats is a quiet community. Nice trail behind the apartment is close to everything."
