"I recently moved and the last Safeway I lived by was one star and now I shopped at this one and it’s the same. For example it almost seems like they are not up for the challenge of having digital items available when on sale. I’ve heard stories like the warehouse did not send it. Or it will be in tomorrow. I went in the store on a Monday and they were out of Marlboro reds and went back on Friday for something and were still out.I have asked why and am told they just did not deliver. It’s crazy to think a Front End Manager would put up with this or the Grocery Manager will allow the warehouse to short ship them and over and over again. I shop here because it is the closest store. Its convenient . I can say that I worked in Albertsons Division Office years back. I worked in the Deli and became a Deli Manager. Albertsons what happened? You bought Safeway, why are you not stepping up and showing them how it’s really done!!"
"You are lucky if they have ONE check stand open on a Sunday. There is usually 20-30 people in line and there will be employees standing around at the deli, bakery and customer service. Managers are nowhere to be seen during these times. Very frustrating to shop here during peak time because of the lack of service."
"I have been a Safeway customer for over 20 years. I was at Safeway last night to grab couple of things with my daughter. I had my reusable bag with me, didn't need a cart. After I pick up a bag of tangerines, as i walked up to the cart area to grab the weekly ad, i heard a lady scream " thank you for stealing from Safeway". I was shocked, then she realized, i was just grabbing the ad, she said sorry. She, i found out her name June is head clerk there. She was chatting with one other male employee and the assistant manager by the corner of the floral departement. I just couldn't believe the blatant racism i experienced, what hurts the most is that my daughter witnessed it. Safeway employees please do better."

"The store had little to no food in it. Freezers were empty. Meat cases, including the deli, EMPTY. Lackluster produce selection and their International foods isle is a joke. #theworst"
