Hertz Car Rental

"I rented a car last minute through Hertz after a flight from LA late on the 26th. The shuttle showed up very quickly and the driver was very nice. When I arrived at Hertz I was greeted immediately by one of their employees. Dylan was awesome! He took care of me and my family very quickly. He noticed the vehicle I reserved, compared to how many bags my family had, and gave me a great suggestion and saved me from the dreaded game of luggage tetras I would have been playing at close midnight with 3 kids hungry and tired in the back seat. Dylan was also perceptive and noticed we had a common interest which led to a fluid transaction that felt more like talking with a friend, then just coming in to pay for a rental car. Thanks again Dylan!"

"My experience with Hertz rental car was nothing short of a nightmare. From the moment I stepped foot into their establishment, I was greeted by the epitome of poor customer service embodied in Shelbi. She seemed more interested in turning customers away than actually assisting them. Her incompetence knows no bounds, as she clearly lacks the fundamental skills required to excel in her position. Despite prepaying for my reservation in full and holding an Amex Platinum card, which supposedly grants benefits, I was met with unnecessary obstacles. Shelbi insisted that without the physical card present, I wouldn't be allowed to exit the gate, despite having alternative methods of payment readily available. To add insult to injury, when departing, the gate attendant didn't even bother asking for the card that caused so much unnecessary stress. Upon finally reaching the vehicle, any semblance of hope for a decent experience vanished as I discovered remnants of previous occupants' meals scattered across the carpet. It's appalling that such negligence is tolerated within a supposedly reputable rental car company. In summary, my encounter with Hertz was an utter disaster, marred by ineptitude, inconvenience, and a complete disregard for customer satisfaction. Save yourself the headache and steer clear of this establishment at all costs."

"Horrible experience. Arrived at 2am with a reservation. The line is 4 hours long. Multiple people in front of me waited since 11pm. For 3 hours at this point. Only to be told there aren’t any available vehicles for them. With a reservation. We had a prepaid reservation and there are 60-70 people in front of us in line. With 2 agents checking them out."

"If I could give 0 stars I would. Horrible customer service and no help at all. My car broke down driving back from Keystone, I had to get towed twice and pay out of pocket. And the guy working here said he can’t do anything. No refund, no credit nothing. I had to shell out 475 to get towed to safety by a third party, then because I couldn’t get back in time due to the car breaking down I got charged an extra day. Horrible service, I don’t get what the president status is even for at this point."

"Worst car rental experience. We had minor damage to the front glass, and Hertz came up with a $10,085.26 estimate. Claimed it was hail damage, but we had only once a light rain during the rental time. Those pictures were provided with the estimate from Hertz. Can anyone see the $10,085.26 hail damage? 11/26/2023 update: After informing Hertz that I was going to file a complaint about this claim with the Colorado Attorney General’s Office, they decided to drop the claim. Here is what they wrote: "We ran a hail report and confirmed that no hail occurred during your rental period"."
