"It’s such a hidden gem behind all the stairs, don’t let the entrance fool you. Food is amazing! I like the interior decoration, it has a certain charm to it. Lamb madras is probably the best I’ve had so far in Australia. Excellent services as well with this price point, better than some of the posh places."

"Wish I could put more than 5 stars. This is some of the best Indian food I've ever had and the food was only surpassed by the amazing service we received from the owner. It was an absolute delight to sit in this establishment. While there wasn't a huge crowd when we went, the atmosphere was warm and cozy. We were told that the restaurant had been around for almost 50 years and its not hard to see why. This place is a true gem of Canberra and must-visit for anyone who has not been."

"This warm, friendly, family-owned restaurant was a joy to dine in. The staff are friendly; Auntie is the head chef and we were served by her charming niece. The food is excellent in quality and taste. Auntie has owned this restaurant since the ‘60s, and obviously, it has lasted this long due to the quality of the food and service."

"The place looked a bit dated doggy at the start. But the place was a 5-star with wonderful sitting arrangements. The vibe was nice, so was the food.. the front staff was amazing and very hard working. The price was reasonable . Best parking was in the paid parking for which i paid only 3$ ."

"Small seating area I felt a bit cramped the first night I ate here. Ordered with a colleague we had a shared starter of tandoori chicken and went for a couple more curries with rice. Price is great for Canberra city. Curry with rice for 22$ the portions were good but if you’re hungry go for 2 curries. We ordered another curry and rice with extra nan breads. Flavour was really good too authentic and delicious. We returned a few days later and ordered 3 curries this time to start with extra rice and nans. Lamb vindaloo is recommended"
