Established in 1976 by the Los Angeles County Department of Beaches and Harbors, our library was designed to cater to the unique needs of the Marina community. In 1999, thanks to the generous contributions of the Marina Foundation, the Board of Supervisors, and the County of Los Angeles Public Library, we proudly expanded our facility to include the William R. Pagen Nautical Wing and the Greg and Mimi Wenger Community Room. Our library was renamed in honor of Lloyd Taber, a key benefactor whose support was instrumental in our development.
