Since its establishment in 1959, and with its present building dedicated in 1973, our library has been a hub of learning, creativity, and community engagement.

Our library is proudly supported by the Friends of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Library, a dedicated volunteer-run organization that enhances our services and events. We invite you to explore our diverse offerings, whether you're interested in participating in our 45th Annual Bookmark Contest for young artists or joining us for the One Book, One County Author Talk and Celebration.

At the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Library, we strive to meet the educational and informational needs of our community. With a library card, you can access a wealth of digital resources, including eBooks, eAudiobooks, music, and movies, all available for download or streaming. For those without internet access, our pre-loaded Kindle Paperwhites offer a convenient way to enjoy expertly selected titles.

Our library is also equipped with laptops available for checkout, providing patrons with access to technology for research and learning within the library premises. We emphasize the importance of adhering to our policies to ensure a safe and respectful environment for all.

We are committed to supporting the educational journey of students through our Homework Centers, which offer enhanced resources and tutoring support. Additionally, our Family Place Library is designed to provide early childhood information, parent education, and family support, recognizing the critical role of early learning and community involvement in a child's development.
