Swimming, body surfing, and surf fishing are popular activities at the beach. Dogs are allowed in the campground and day-use areas, but not on trails. Same-day reservations can be made for campsites and lodging, and the park also offers educational and interpretation programs. Showers at the park are token-operated, and firewood can be burned in fire rings when fire levels permit.
