"It is a beautiful camping space. I can hear the waves at night. We are here at the end of October. It was very windy with strong gusts at times. However the camping sites are mostly small and cramped if you have a big group. The state park rangers are very courteous and helpful. We saw a beautiful sunset."

"Nice sites, pretty busy campground and facilities are well kept up. Deal breaker for us (mostly the kids) was the giant rattlesnake in our campground. When we arrived it was slithering around a large bush with some rocks where squirrels had made their home so our site was basically a food source for them. Kids wouldn't come out the of camper-haha. We set up our camp chairs, and before leaving for a daytrip we alerted the camp rangers - they said they'd check into it. When we returned that evening they said they had removed & relocated our snake and 2 other snakes from the campground. Sounds like a normal occurrence but at least they try to manage it. Kudos to the staff for that."

"Ideal spot if looking to party late into the night. Group next to us still going after midnight on a weekday. The grounds themselves are nice with lots of trees though the bathrooms a bit subpar. Maybe could have enjoyed if sleep were an option. Glad to have booked for only one night."

"This is a California State Campground, so you'll need to make a reservation. We had a reasonably large space with a nice fire pit, campfire circle, and picnic table. Water faucets, rest rooms, and trash cans are located throughout the campground and there's a nice path to the beach that takes you under the Coast Highway."

"Been here a hand full of times. And if you want close to the beach camping. With water/showers/toilets. Cleaned almost daily. Then this is your spot. 45$ for camping for one night when I went. No reception within a mile or 2, radius of the location. Or the walk to the beach. Rather snug campgrounds, but everyone keeps to them selves. And is rather friendly each time I go. Small trailers/campers could pull in and sneak in with ease. But 30+ ft RVs might get tight. But for regular camping in tents or hammocks it's perfect!! Composite picnic tables , with a fire ring amd grate to cook or heat things on. Bring your own fire wood or buy some on the nearby visitor center. Security patrols the park in a EV Every few hours. And it's a great place to camp at least once!"
