"We have stayed here several times and really like it. Peter has always made us feel welcome here and his staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are not fancy but have always been clean. While not fancy but have nice perks like coffee in room , bodywash,shampoo, conditioner also good tv , frig and usually a micro wave and good beds. We will be coming here everytime we're in the area."

"Terrible!! Bed bugs in the corner of the mattress (eggs), noise all night. The front desk didn't answer! So much noise from neighbors, wild parties and homeless camp right outside our door. Too nervous to leave at midnight. Booked through airbnb and airbnb would not give a refund because we stayed the whole night? Someone please refund me for this awful stay! Thanks!!"

"So, Gateway Lodge didn't make our situation right, so here is my review. The place was recently remodeled in the sense that they painted somethings and decided to go with plywood as a headboard and table material. There was dry wall putty and paint on the floor. Toilet was the original warn out unit with a gross seat shower that wasn't much different. The front door had no secondary latch. I could hear the folks in the rooms on either side of us. I say this because it shows the level of commitment the owners have to having a good facility. This was the second room we were given. The first room was interesting, to say the least. Gf opened the room door and was presented with a filthy room that had a big dog in it. This made us wonder why we were given this room in the first place. And why isn't the hotel tracking what or who is in what rooms. Girlfriend felt uneasy, as did i. we were given the new room but couldn't handle the vibe of the situation. I talked to the guy at the counter, and I said i understand if we don't get the first night's money back, but if he could help with some type of refund for the remainder that would be fine. He agreed with the compromise he mentioned I should call the travel company, which I did, and we parted ways. Well, the travel company said Gateway denied my request. Traveler beware and good luck. This place is just good enough to be useful if you're desperate."

"Extremely friendly, and dedicated staff. The staff at the front desk are always very helpful, very friendly, and very dedicated to each and every guest that walks in to the office . Wether your checking in with or without a reservation, have a question about your stay or about the area, or even if your asking for towels or toilet paper, the staff is always so helpful and makes sure that every guests needs are met and they are 100% satisfied their entire stay."

"Review: Hair in bed, hair everywhere on the floor, hair in the shower and on the soap dispenser. Floors were dirty, crumbs left. Mold in shower window sill. We reserved a king bed and when we arrived they tried to push us into a double bed. Then they asked for $30 for a pet deposit, and I asked if it can be waived since we’re getting forced into a double bed. Then miraculously a king bedroom became available, after telling us all of the king rooms were sold out… shady and rude service from the minute we arrived. They replaced our sheets and towels after we told them there was hair all over room, but then the “new clean” sheets had brown/ red stains on them. Then we found out that half of the motel is intermediate housing (for homeless people)…. I’d hope it was a wine stain rather than a blood stain… but do you trust them to keep the sheets separate from homeless people and wash them properly??? Did not feel safe there or welcome. Was worried about leaving our car in the parking lot over night. Ants inside our room on walls. Hotel is not in a good or scenic location… We couldn’t wait to get out of there"
