"Poor internet is my only complaint. This is a slightly better choice than motel 6. Location is great, usually pretty quiet at night, easy in and out parking. As a paraglider pilot, this is the closest motel to the sand city launch."

"After having a long travel day, I had to call the local law enforcement on a domestic fight that had been going on for 40 minutes. Girl was jumping on cars and they were screaming and breaking each other's phone. I called the manager first and he did nothing. Homeless people were sleeping in the cars in the parking lot. Once everything was finally calmed down, I was going to take a shower only to find there were no towels in my room. I was too tired to deal with it so I went to bed. I talked to the manager in the morning about it. There were no apologies, no discounts, no offer to give me towels. At $165.00 night, expect some towels."

"Never left a review for a hotel before, but feel I should on this one. Short Indian guy at front desk not very friendly. And my bed had little bugs on the sheets. They weren't bed bugs, nor did they bite, but they were everywhere. Like tiny Summer bugs. By my last day they were even on the door post, on the toilet, and on my washcloth which I hung up. I'd say skip this place if you can."

"This is an older motel, with some defects. The beds were quite hard. The carpet in our room did not appear to have been vacuumed or cleaned for a very long time. That’s probably because ours was a room on the second floor with steep stairs. There were no other rooms At the top of the stairs, so a cleaner would have to lug cleaning supplies and a vacuum up steep narrow stairs. And I don’t think that it had been done for an extremely long period of time. Perhaps one of the reasons that California Is in a drought is that it takes forever for the hot water to arrive. The tap had to run for a couple of minutes to even get close to warm. The breakfast consisted of muffins cut in quarters. There were no paper plates. There is coffee, but no water or juice and no fruit. There were four chairs in a very tiny room. Perhaps there are nicer rooms that have been remodeled, but we still paid the fairly high price for a pretty run down room."
