"BUYER BEWARE PLACE IS INFESTED WITH RATS AND THEY DO A POOR JOB INSPECTING BEFORE YOU MOVE IN. The place was okay until my neighbors rat problem moved over. Apparently it’s been an ongoing issue and their answer is always slow and sending out the pest guy to set one trap. The new maintenance guy that came out is the only exception to this review he did great, came out promptly and patched the holes with foam. Otherwise it’s a pain dealing with work orders, lack of communication and professionalism. I don’t want the rats gone until Thursday (the only day the pest control is here?). I can’t sleep sometimes because I can hear them gnawing on the walls. They already made a hole in the kitchen and it took forever to get someone out. The picture is the hole the rats chewed by the kitchen. And they have the audacity to blame it on the dogs not being put away for them to come in? Think twice before signing a lease here."
"Please do not move into or consider this community. You will have a terrible headache dealing with property management. Communication is only via email or text. They will choose when to respond to you or if they want to respond. When they do respond it doesn’t make sense or it’s not complete. At move out you will be stuck with a ridiculous bill of items they said you did. Items are wear and tear. Tub resurfacing for $450. Mind you when we first moved in we had to get it sprayed bc it was fading. So it’s a pre existing condition. It happened right before we moved out and we put a service request to have it painted again but the service guy said since we are so close to moving out that they will just take care of it after we move out. He specifically said this is wear and tear and you won’t be charged. Well I got charged and the billing department is of no help. Good luck if you decide to move here. You will wake up every morning with a headache. Probably due to mold. So glad we moved out. I want to give 0 stars but this made me select at least 1 star."
"This is, without a doubt, the worst place I’ve lived. For starters, the application process is a nightmare, it’s all through email. I requested a call a few times, never received one. The day of move in, the door code didn’t work and I was locked out, and it took them 24 hours to fix it. After moving in the fire alarm started going off every 10 minutes, and there was no way to stop it, I called the 24hour line, and they told me since the office was closed I could either wait till tomorrow or call the fire department. I had to put the alarm outside. The next day they said they had to replace it, and I was without a fire alarm for a week or two. I moved in in may, the AC didn’t work (unit had the wrong voltage) and they didn’t fix the AC till mid August. When you submit a work order, they will not call or set up a time, they will just randomly show up with no notice even if you ask them not to. Sometimes they’ll come same day, sometimes it takes 6 weeks, it’s anyone’s guess. When I moved in my bathroom door wouldn’t close, for months. I did a work order, one day I come home and there’s a guy in my bathroom sanding down my door and there’s wood shavings and sawdust everywhere all over my towels and everything (if they had just called I would’ve prepared). After doing the work orders they never touched up the paint, I’ve asked for months and they keep saying they don’t have the paint yet. I’ve also never had a working key for my mailbox since I’ve moved in. My access code the the laundromat has never worked. And the place has bugs, requested an exterminator that to my knowledge never came. Had to spray the place myself. Also, rats. I could go on. If you have any other options, don’t move here."
"Giving them a one star since I cannot choose a lower rating. I helped a couple people apply for some apartments here about a month ago and a half ago. During the whole process I was unable to get a hold of any leasing agent. Everything was online, but I could not get anyone to answer any questions or concerns. Tried multiple numbers...left various voicemails and I NEVER received a phone call back. One of the families I helped got denied and it's been over a month and they haven't not received their deposit back. And the second family just got denied 3weeks ago and also have not received their deposit. Again, have not been able to get a hold of anyone regarding reimbursement or Hold Deposit. Just Beware!!"
"Update: Thank you for your prompt response. For clarification, when I ask for management to pay attention I mean U D R. Local management seems to be trying. Waiting 10 months and longer for lights is not safe. No matter who dropped the ball, we still need lights fixed in a timely manner. The no trespassing signs on the dumpsters just went up 6 weeks ago. I do report all situations to Costa Mesa PD. I am a graduate of their Citizens Police Academy, class of November 2022, so I have a pretty good idea of what’s happening in our city. Thank you again for your response I like my unit and most of my neighbors. Problem is with management taking my security seriously. I had to go through many channels just to get external lights fixed. They thought that planning to update the exterior lights next year was a reason for not giving me lights bulbs right now. We all know that this complex has many druggies hanging around day and night. Lights in an apartment complex is mandatory . Common sense. Took me 10 months and many many calls to get just those few lights. They spend money doing updates they want to do instead of spending the money on lights and exterior locks that would keep residents safe. Still waiting in no trespassing signs at each entry. We’ve been asking for over 2 years. Please, management, take our well being seriously. Police can only do their job after you do yours."
