"I didn't like it because I'm not coming back"

"I would say that thanks to my "Catholic education" at Guardian Angels - it did teach me important values such as being bullied, denigrated, mocked, impugned and beaten up by the older students and having those concerns by my parents ignored by teachers such as Sister Patricia Ann and Principals such as Doctor Phillip Royce - it installed many cherished beliefs that I can look back on and just wished that even though this is supposedly a "Catholic" school - it by no means instills the values that actually should be taught in order to become responsible adults when growing up. Too bad that Doctor Royce kept me in multi-age for over 4 years where he ignored my parents demands to pull me out while being bullied for that time period. It was pretty obvious that Sister Patricia Ann knew about the beatings, but declined to do anything about them either because of the extra funding multi-age student participation brought by the Catholic Archdiocese. One of her favorite sayings when I would state that I was ganged up on again by the older kids was: "We all have our crosses to bear" - That I had no idea what that meant. So......Thanks Sister Pat for that wonderful insight. Too bad she wouldn't look at the bruises from being punched multiple times. She would do her best to ignore me and look away when I approached her. So obviously she was indifferent and apathetic to these issues. Best thing was leaving that school where I used to be very extroverted before I attended, but afterwards - became highly introverted from these experiences of being bullied and beaten up, all the while being ignored by school administrators. Yes. I did learn much from my "Catholic" education."

"This is a beautiful church and they are doing their best to carry on despite the coronavirus restrictions. Attendance is way down, so even with half of the pews blocked off, there is plenty of room for everyone to social distance."
