Reviews
"The place is totally cool. The building itself is worth seeing and learning about. Then add a Children’s Museum??!!?? WOW!"
"Although I got in for free, this place is more than just a museum! The science and history museums are unlike no other and are enjoyed by all ages young or old. The staff are all very kind and respectful. The view of the skyline is unlike no other."
"I went there on a play date the price for the Lego thing really isn't worth it, it's to short. The kids play area kids are running everywhere being to rough parents not watching they're kids and kids taking over everything and being rude to others my daughter and her friends couldn't play with anything because these kids had took everything literally my daughter couldn't even get on the play bus because the kids was yelling this my bus this our stuff and no one said anything to them. It was a complete mess in there as well. The museum part was cool but the rest I was over it."
"Great experience for the whole family! They have updated recently and included self service dining options, bigger bathrooms, more elevator access, new exhibits, learning centers, and more local history. It can get really hot while you are inside but there are plenty of places to rest and sit down through the exhibits. There is always plenty of parking but you do have to pay for it. One ticket will get you into three different areas. You pay separately got IMAX movies, the special exhibit which is currently a Lego exhibit, and the Holocaust exhibit. Food and drinks are very expensive. It was about $10 for two 6 oz milks. There is really cool imaginary play options for kids in the Children’s Museum area. It is like a whole little town with a grocery store? Car mechanic, vet office, nursing, diner, house, ice cream cart, lemonade stand and a bus. There is also a large water table area and a crafting area. The Treehouse area is dark and can be hard to find your kid if they climb to the top. Parents can climb to top with kids by using a set of stairs though. The science and history museum feature dinosaur bones and interactive gravity and air simulations. Next, there is a space area with opportunities to drive a robot, prepare a spaceship for liftoff, a full dome-like projection as if you are in space, and learn how to pack for a trip to space. The next parts involve learning about prehistoric animals. Mammoths and sloths and such. You journey to a cave which you walk through and learn about cave stuff. There is also a local history exhibit which is featured in my photos. Someone rebuilt Cincinnati and they have it displayed here at the museum. This part talks about the major influential companies and products that came from Cincinnati. There is a really cool set up at the end of an old timer town and steamboat that you can walk through. I recently went through the holocaust exhibit. It is a heavy experience but justifiably so. The exhibit features local survivors and their stories. There are some artifacts and many videos to watch."
"It's okay. The kids like to play here. Some kids, however, are very rude and will take things from other kids. I watch very closely because I will not allow my children to be the victim of this. We like to go here on rainy days, but I would not consider getting a pass since we don't go that often. It's definitely nice when the weather is not so good, which is the only time we go. I also don't understand as to why both entrances to the museum exhibits are on the same floor and both exits are on the same floor. So if you want to see both, you have to go back up to get into the other one, and then you will end back on the bottom floor. Seems there could be a better way to do this."
