Welcome to the Hamilton County Emergency Management & Homeland Security Agency (EMHSA). Located at 2000 Radcliff Drive, Cincinnati, Ohio, our local government office is dedicated to ensuring the safety and preparedness of Hamilton County and its political subdivisions. As authorized by the Ohio Revised Code, we coordinate and administer all-hazards emergency management and disaster preparedness functions across the county.
At Hamilton County EMHSA, we understand that every disaster scenario is unique, requiring a dynamic and proactive approach to emergency management. Our mission is to plan for the unplanned, addressing both natural and manmade hazards, including international and domestic acts of terrorism, while also focusing on homeland security functions.
Recognizing that a government-centric approach alone is insufficient in the face of catastrophic incidents, we embrace the Whole Community approach. This strategy emphasizes collaboration and resource-sharing among all community stakeholders to effectively meet the diverse needs of our population.
Our Executive Committee convenes quarterly to discuss and strategize on disaster preparedness and public safety initiatives. Meetings for 2024 are scheduled for January 29, April 15, July 22, and October 1, all beginning at 4:00 p.m. at the Regional Operations Center on Radcliff Drive.
