"This is the one mom always used my dad brother nephew now my mom brother in law they were always so nice"
"Sadly, we lost a beautiful member of our family to breast cancer, Rachel Tenney. We would like to thank all the staff at Colligan Funeral Home for helping her children honor " her" wishes. Rachel attended Zion Lutheran Church during her childhood with cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents and great grandparents. As she looked back on the many happy memories, during those years, she expressed wanting her services to be held at the church, she loved and grew up in. Due to Covid 19 there have been different guidelines put in place at the church. These align with the current laws, set forth by the Governor ie: checking temperatures, social distancing, number of people gathering in one location... etc To keep everyone safe as possible, Zion Lutheran Church implemented their own guidelines for funerals and church services not Colligan Funeral Home. During normal times, there would have been more ushers to help family and friends locate the sanctuary and funeral procession. Because of Covid 19, we had one family member volunteer to usher. On behalf of our family, we apologize for your inconvenience. In closing, we want to thank Colligan Funeral Home. Ann, you helped Rachel's children honor their mothers wishes. You gave them a listening ear, and a shoulder to laugh and cry on. We would recommend Colligan Funeral Home to any family, they will respect your wishes and help you through the most difficult times. "Recently my mother died of cancer at the age of 50. My sister and I were left to plan her service with little in the way of preplanning to go on. We are both younger and have no experience planning funerals. Ann at Colligan’s Funeral Home was a wonderful, compassionate, and trustworthy person who helped my sister and I every step of the way. With her help we were able to celebrate my mothers life in a beautiful ceremony. Due to changes in church procedure because of COVID19, there were a lot of alterations in how funerals can be run, such as, seating charts given at the door directing you to the proper seat, and temperatures being taken. The funeral home was there for our family every step of the way and did their best to make sure we were pleased, even with the added difficulties. My sister and I were able to assist in draping my mothers casket with the pall after the casket was closed following the visitation before the service began, which was appreciated. Due to the cancer, my mother had lost her hair and was very jaundice. The funeral home did a wonderful job making her look as close to herself as was possible. On top of all the help we received, the cost was also significantly less than other area funeral homes. My family and I can’t thank Colligan’s enough! They made the process a lot less mind boggling and confusing in a time when our grief made things seem overwhelming. My sister and I are both beyond thrilled with our decision to use Colligan's funeral home. The one on one attention we were given would never have been matched by a larger, "business-driven, funeral home. We truly felt like Colligan's and their staff cared about how we were holding up through the whole experience. My mom would have loved her service as well as the funeral home director and staff! Thank you Colligan's for the fantastic service. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend anyone to their funeral home. If you want to feel like a person and not a dollar sign, look no further."
"I was not to pleased with the service we had for my sister's funeral today. Even tho it was at a church and not in the actual funeral home colligans was in charge of the services at the church. I feel it wasn't very professional at all. There was no direction from colligans at the church. There were no ushers directing entrances of the church and I saw alot of ppl walking around the whole church not knowing where to go. No direction from ushers in the parking lot to organize the cars to go to cemetary. I felt like closing a casket in front of the whole congregation at the service was wrong. That can be more disturbing to some family members. I ft like the service went backwards. The lady that's suppose to be the director of said funeral home was not professional at the cemetary either. I could go on about this but just know that I don't think I would recommend this funeral home to anybody I believe we will stay with Brown Dawson from now on as we always have for years."
