"3 life guards sitting under tent doing nothing and they still won’t let us jump off of the diving boards. Even asked them to let us and they said they didn’t have any life guards. Cmon now"
"The equipment is nice and the staff is usually friendly, but the culture of this gym is not great. Instructors for classes are not mindful of other gym users, leading to a "fend for yourself" vibe in the weight room where you can either wait 30+ minutes for enough space/equipment access to get anything done, or try to lift while people are jostling dangerously close to you. Space is at a premium anywhere on campus, but the parking lot at this gym is likely one of the worst. Students and staff alike constantly cut people off and drive the wrong way down one-way stretches trying to steal parking spaces. Early in the morning, the ROTC is particularly bad about this. If you're just looking for a treadmill and you don't have to worry about parking, this will be a great experience for you. Otherwise, expect consistent, mild frustration."
"Been exercising regularly for one year and a half now. Everything has been clean and well-kept."
"It's great during the summer semesters, very few people. During the spring and fall semesters be prepared to wait for equipment. Very clean and well kept/maintained equipment. Unfortunately they are very strict with who can and can't use the gym facilities."
"I've been coming in since the summer and this facility is subpar. The equipment is great, the organization is okay, but the staff is poor. Over the summer the staff was on their phones the entire time. Now at the start of fall semester they are better about that, but they sit and talk and leave the facilities absently attended. On 4 occasions in the last 3 weeks I've had to inform the staff that multiple wipe dispensers are empty. Also, almost every morning at 0600 the weights are disorganized. They are clean from the floor, but they are unevenly dispersed. If that's not part of the closing/opening routines that would explain it but it doesn't seem logical to see weights poorly organized as soon as the facility opens. There was also the day that laundry was not done so there were no towels to disperse among the members. Today the facility is out of replacement wipes to fill in the stations."
