"Church services I enjoy, friendly atmosphere, mixed congregation, I was made welcomed and felt at home. Went with my brother whose a member. Brunch was served, and we went to both services, they were fairly short, so it didn't take up the whole day to worship."
"On Monday afternoons I am with a group that meets at St Johns to prepare and feed the less fortunate of our community. We originally started under the I40 bridges 6yrs ago. Since the pandemic started we have come together with St Johns church to utilize there facilities in our efforts to feed clothe and nourish our friends and neighbors outside. We welcome new volunteers each. We are in need of clothing for men and hygienic items. We also constantly need volunteers to come out help with preparation of meals and serving our friends and neighbors on Monday afternoons feeding starts at 530pm"

"I have been a member for over 25 years, and there is no more spirit-filled, warm and welcoming Lutheran church anywhere! Grace overflows. ALL are welcome! St. John's draws its members from all over Knoxville and beyond, but we remain in Downtown at 5th and Broadway, committed to serving our neighbors and all in need.
