Welcome to Karns Volunteer Fire Dept. Station 2, proudly serving the communities of Ball Camp, Solway, Hardin Valley, and Karns since 1978. Conveniently located at 2150 North Campbell Station Road in Knoxville, Tennessee, our station is part of a dedicated network of four strategically positioned stations covering 65 square miles in Northwest Knox County.
Our mission is to provide exemplary fire protection and advanced life support to over 45,000 residents. We offer a comprehensive range of services, including emergency and non-emergency medical responses, hazardous materials response, vehicle extrication, technical rescue operations, and public fire safety education. Our commitment extends beyond emergency services, as we actively engage in community outreach to foster a sense of community and safety awareness.

"4-27-2020 This retired Cardiac BSN, RN suddenly experience my first signs ever of chest pain, shortness of breath, sweating profusely, an elephant was sitting on my chest, and tingling down the inside of my left upper arm radiating down towards my elbow. I call 911. Within 5 minutes or less I hear Karns rescue team Hardin Valley. They came upstairs and immediately started their assessment. 0489456 Ambulance arrived right after. They took such great care and I new they were there to help me. In less than 30 minutes from the onset of chest discomfort I was meeting the Parkwest Cardiac Team. Dr. Black was inserting a cardiac stent. I was at home alone. I knew this was the widow maker type of heart attack. I was so grateful to meet the Karns Hardin Valley Rescue Team. They got my med list for me , helped me get dressed, ...I will NEVER forget what those medical staff did for me. So grateful for Karns Hardin Valley Rescue Team!
