"I visited family doc urgent care Sunday at 5:28pm. When I came in no one acknowledged me when entering the office (because of the laughter and heavy conversation). I then walked around to the desk and asked for assistance. The Nurse Practitioner who took my vital immediately said “I’m not seeing nobody else today including walk-ins" I said "It’s 5:32 and I’m have trouble breathing". I stood there and she didn’t say anything and walked over to the receptionist desk and got on the computer. After a few minutes, she began asking me for my information and etc. When finished, she lead be to a room began asking what are my symptoms and I listed a few (sore throat because I recently had strep, face pressure, headaches and sneezing and coughing) while she was typing, she took my vitals the went to the Dr. N (can’t spell her name). Dr. N came in and it was as if she could care less. I told her that I have autoimmune diseases (one being RA) and I get infections easily and they tend to spread. Another nurse came in with a swab and told me to open my mouth so I did and she swapped and I asked her what was that for and she said for Covid (I never asked for a Covid test. Those are free in many establishments). To continue, Dr. N suggested allergy medicine… I then asked what about my nose I can’t breathe so she said she would do Flonase Rx and I buy the Claritin-D over-the-counter. Before I mention any other symptoms I could tell that she was bothered and in a rush to leave so I didn’t inquire any further. I check out and leave and head to the pharmacy where they told me no medicine was sent. I called Monday around 5 PM and I did not get an answer. Tuesday, August 27th 2024 I called. Around 515 or so. it was put on multiple times for me to get hung up on the waiting. I called back and expressed the same issue and was put on hold again for the receptionist to tell me that the doctor said, she never prescribed me anything and that they didn’t call because I did not have Covid. My phone is in even more pain And I am still having trouble breathing through my nose. Now I have to take off work to go to another establishment to get what could’ve been done in the first place. I would like a refund of my co-pay as well as any charges that I did not consent to."
"I went here in 2021 or 2022 for Covid tests because they accepted my insurance. They told me they’d call with the results (they didn’t, I had to call them) and in 2023 I received a bill from them for Covid tests??? They don’t answer the phone because they’re scamming their patients"
"Go anywhere else. Care was mediocre. The prescription sent to my pharmacy was a huge hassle. Billing after the appointment, even though I have insurance, has also been a huge hassle. Website wouldn't take payment. I'm also getting text reminders that are asking me to pay a different amount. When I called the clinic to make payment directly they put me on hold endlessly."
"I went in yesterday with strep throat. I had to bring my daughter with me. The student doctor was very attentive gentle and informative. When to doctor came in, he was young and black which made me proud until he opened his mouth. The young man repeatedly called me and my throat "nasty." Before even talking to, let alone examining me. Then proceeded to try to get my daughter to join in calling me nasty. When she would not he told her "oh you're nice." He repeatedly had me sticking my tongue out and saying ahh after I told him it pains me (and I had already been examined.) The student doctor said possibly take 2 days off of work. The doctor said nope just wear a mask. Sore throat, being contagious and entire body being sore and all. He also told me he was sending my prescription over to my pharmacy but did not until the next day. Which really makes me sad because besides the in office humiliation, you don't send my meds on time like youre subscribing to the idea that black people don't feel pain??"
"First of all I’d like to say this place is garbage as well as the facility staff. I went there 12/17/2023 for a checkout that turned out that I would be needing tests done on me. They told me in order to be seen i’d have to pay a total of $125, which I did because if I didn’t, I would not have gotten serviced. But my concern is the lack of communication amongst a patient and amongst a medical facility this is ridiculous. How dare they bill me again $125 for a service that they did not mention to me about as far as getting tests done on me they said that this would be included in the service that they are serving me as a patient there; they lied I am not paying this bill and I will be reporting this place."
