"This Company by far in the worst Company I have ever delt with. Book a ride 3 days in advance . It was a far trip about 1hour 45 mins. Called 5am to see who was picking up. The person whom answered Patricia didn't say Company name sounded as if I woke her up informed me that the ride was canceled a hour before do to them not being able to find a vendor. I explained this was a inpatient appointment and could not be missed. I asked to be transferred to supervisor who was not helpful I asked for her manager was told they don't have one available. I t has been back and forth for over 7.5 hours no resolution. This company employees all say different things no one knows what they are doing. I will be contacting the state as well as a petition to have them removed as a provider. This is just horrible. Just because one is low income doesn't mean that we should be treated this way"
"Meridian changes perscription rules without notifying members! Forced me to be 5 days and counting without pain medication. I've been picking up my surgical pain medication every week for the past 5 weeks since surgery and all of a sudden they claim 2/1 they changes the rules this week the perscription was denied. I recieved no notice, message, or email regarding any of these changes. Just denial at the pharmacy forcing me to ho back and forth 2-4 times a day. Dr sent PA Meridian responded back with poor excuse of a denial basically the new rule which forced an appeal. They lied about sending the appeal to my dr office. Yet again tried to speak with a Meridian supervisor and was hung up on. This should be criminal leaving their members to suffer such long period of time post opp without notice of change. Meridian as a whole has the worst customer service with most of their employees having no idea how to work their application or any of Meridians processes. To make matters worse these employees are hanging up, rude, don't have time due to their children or bodily circumstance. When u ask to speak to a supervisor with hopes someone may know something, your stuck on hold for hours just to be hung up on! Meridian is a joke!! I have reported Meridian to the Department of Insurance and the Attorney General! Meridian is fraudulent Meridian is unprofessional Meridian is unsafe for medical patients! Beware your lifesaving and needed medications will be denied, force u to jump through hoops for weeks and add extreme distress to your life! Be prepared to repeat yourself over and over and over ID, Name, DOB, Address over and over cause for some reason their phone program does not collaborate with their employees."
"It's been a good ride with Meridian, they've been more reliable for me than other health insurance situations I've been in. Unfortunately all good things come to an end. Everywhere in my region is dropping them, they mysteriously haven't covered my therapy/psychiatry since I renewed my medicaid, and they changed prescriptions to express scripts. PASS. For everyone on MI Health Plan, we have til the end of the year to change our coverage to a different plan."
"I called needing my healthyliving insurance check to be expedited but some dude picked up insulted my intelligence. Was rude and then hung up the phone when I tried telling him I wanted help and need this done asap or I could be hospitalized. 0 stars if I could."
"I am absolutely begging you guys to NOT consider this insurance company. My sister was added to my mother’s plan as we are on Medicaid and this is the insurance my mom was given during pregnancy. My sister needs an urgent kidney scan which her urologist ordered and Meridian decided to cut my sister off the day before her appt. I called, they told me she was covered and I call the hospital two days later only for them to tell me that Meridian has not added her back like they said they did. It’s so incredibly frustrating to have to keep calling the insurance company only for them to have me hopping around between different representatives with no one giving me a clear answer or just straight up hanging up on me. We will be paying for my sister’s scan out of pocket through our savings because Meridian will absolutely not cover anything that is not a basic doctor’s appointment. We have now switched over to another Medicaid insurance and we’re just waiting for her plan to get activated in a month. PLEASE do yourselves a favor and switch to any other insurance company and save yourselves the anguish and the headaches of having to deal with these people."
