"I was looking for a Nursing Assistant Training Program and I came across FSTE and it was honestly a great learning opportunity for myself as well for my class mates who are now CNA’s . The teachers are literally there to help you if YOU push yourself to do the work ! They have office hours just incase you need some extra time and during & at the end of each class they make sure you understand all the information that was given to you and you can ask a million questions and they will answer it to the best way possible for YOU to understand. They prepare you for the real world and teach you the way it’s suppose to be taught . I’m very thankful and most definitely will recommend everyone to FSTE ."
"Fste is a great place to become An C.N.A / LPN They are fast paced but they do take the extra time to help you when you are struggling as long as you show your potential and put in the effort to become something great you well be successful. They even help you become cpr certified. I have had a great learning experience. Although you may feel they come off a certain way when you just begin if you do what you are supposed to you’ll see they have your best interest of heart and they only want you to be THEE BEST HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONAL YOU CAN BE. I call it tough love. The teachers were great they help get you prepared for the real world. They set you up for success. Thank you fste. -Mykia Nelson"
"Horrible customer service I called to get some information regarding registration, tuition etc. i spoke with a lady who I'm guessing is the founder based off of other reviews and she was extremely rude. No tolerance or patience at-all, she kept telling me to look online and i was actually online but couldn't get all the information i needed online, she proceeds to rush me off the phone while i was speaking and hung up abruptly. Why the nasty attitude? I will be looking elsewhere as this is already a bad sign of whats to come in the future should one register with them."
"Horrible customer service. I am currently looking for an institution to complete the PN program. This location popped up and I was excited when I seen they’re not too far from me. However that excitement quickly turned to disappointment. I called to get more information regarding tuition etc. i spoke with RN MSN Jerrilyn Pearson(Founder of academy) and she was extremely rude. No patience at all, she kept telling me to look online I told her I was online during our conversation, but I wanted a little more clarity over the phone. When I noticed she was not in the mood to do her job, I asked if now was a good time to talk she proceeds to say have a good day and hangs up on me. I called back she began to yell and hung up again. I let her know her behavior is unacceptable and she hangs up This is really a blessing bc if this is how the so called CEO is speaking to potential students and portraying this kind of behavior over some questions no matter how affordable the program is it is not for me. I will be taking my complaint further. RN MSN Jerrilyn Pearson needs a change of heart or get out of health care."
"I completed my CPR, CNA, and Phlebotomy education with First Step to Excellence Health Care Training Academy. I kept returning because they had the staff, patience, and schedule that understood and accommodated a slightly older returning student such as myself. I had left the field of education after over a decade during the height of the pandemic to pursue a career in healthcare, and this local south side training school gave me the confidence, resources, and opportunity to do so. All of my educators as well as the leaders of this program were thorough and communicative throughout the entire process. I could have went to a city college, but their programs took longer, and I'm sure you won't get the small classes and attention found here. If you come willing and determined, they will meet you in the middle without a doubt. As with any program, the classroom is only part of your learning and you must study at home or with your peers for the best outcome. I was employed right out of school into a hospital and have enjoyed the field ever since. I see they now have an LPN program and may return as I continue my progress up the ladder in the healthcare sector. Thank you FSTE for the support and follow-up over the years, Delmar Smith, CNA, PCT, B.S., MHA"
