"Pros: the staff at each location I've entered are phenomenal at what they they do. The ladies and gents are always professional, kind, and keep the lines moving! Cons: their atm's are worthless. On 6/25, after 5pm, I was in the city. I needed an atm. I google mapped the nearest location to Tower Grove. I went there, I think the building must be an education center, I didn't see an atm. So, I headed back to the one close to home on Hanley, Graham Road, neither of the 2 atm's worked. Me an another person in a car just looked at one another in disbelief, when we saw neither worked. We then drove to the St. John location because our end destination was Bridgeton. You guessed it! Neither of those two atm's worked either. It was 4 minutes before their close time at that point. I had to go to the Regions in St. Ann to get the cash. I had to PAY a $4 atm fee to get my money from an atm because 3 STLCCU locations did not have working atm's. Does this qualify for a reimbursement? ******* Update: new ATM machines!!!!!!"
"And people wonder why certain folk don’t get hired to work certain jobs. Whatever happened to real customer service?! These bums!"
"New review for 04/28/2024 Woke up today to my debit card being blocked overnight after being able to use it all day yesterday. Of course they would block my card while I am out of town and on a day their phone support is closed leaving me hours away from St. Louis with no access to my money to get back. I have sent these people multiple emails and messages via mobile banking and no response. This a disaster and unacceptable! __________ Old review: Came to the Forest Park location early in the morning the other day to deposit some money before I headed back out of town. There was a lady there when I get there also trying to deposit cash only for us both to discover the atm was no longer allowing cash deposits, only checks. Excuse me? When did that change happen?? So we were unable to make our deposits and I went to see if I could just do the night drop, of course there were no night drop envelopes in the container so I wasn't able to make that deposit after all. If you're not going to allow cash deposits via the atm anymore you could at least make sure the night drop is stocked with envelopes ."
"I highly recommend considering using any other credit union rather than STL CCU. In 2020 when no one was allowed in banks, nor were banks answering the phone my debit card that was linked to my automatic payments expired in the height of the pandemic and I received a late payment. Never once during the duration of my Credit rebuilding loan was I late with this company. Well, not until July 2020 when my debit card expired. Once I noticed the issue, I immediately paid them and ask for a good letter, which they never sent. Now I have a late payment from a loan that I was paying to myself and that was supposed to help my credit, not harm it. Why even deal with a company like this? I’ve called and spoke with numerous representatives, all unwilling to help. I’ve had some tell me there was nothing they can do and had some tell me there’s nothing they will do. I don’t deal with these type of situations that often but in the past when I have most companies usually work with you, especially when they’re credit union to help you build your credit. Avoid this credit union at all cost. Zero star rating."
"I was waiting in line as an elder was helped by a teller. Passion, the teller, was extremely patient with the cu member who had multiple transactions. She even helped spell out some info for him to go on the money order. I came in rushing but after watching them for 10 minutes, I settled down. I can only hope there's more people like her to take time with people who need that extra help."
