"Wow, what a find this little place proved to be. The food is outstanding, the service is amazing, and the prices are reasonable. We both had ample portions of delicious, homemade style food and left with lots leftover for the next day! Our waitress was super friendly, the coffee was wonderful and the vibe was old style Reno. Far superior to any breakfast we had anywhere else, this little cafe is on our “not to be missed” list every time we’re in Reno from now on. Treat yourself to a wonderful meal and stop by this cute little place, you’ll be glad you did."
"Breakfast was excellent, I had meat lovers scramble, and my wife had the burrito. Very large portions for the prices. We were able to eat half and take the other half for the next day. The stuff is very friendly and the service was very quick."
"Ordered the traditional eggs Benedict, side order sausage patty, and two piece French toast. The food came quickly and everything tasted great. My waitress, Jodie, did a great job making me feel welcome. It’s a bit warm inside for my tastes, could use some air conditioning, but that wouldn’t prevent me from coming back. Thanks for a great breakfast and hospitality!"
"Looked closed from outside at around 8ish am. Had one outdoor seating set up and other chairs still put on top of another outdoor set. Place seemed dark dank and uninviting when inside. Went on a recommendation(probably should have gone to a different Peg’s location). Husband’s huevos rancheros looked and tasted great however the “waffle” was more like pancake batter put in a waffle iron dense and chewy, and bacon overcooked, no bueno. Waitress got manager to handle my disappointed breakfast. They made a better, slightly crispy, still dense and chewy, waffle and brought out different bacon. I give them credit for at least offering it but overall vibe in the diner wasn’t for me but I’m sure there are those that are over the moon about the place because it’s their comfort spot or they haven’t had lots of experiences in their travels to compare it to. I do like diner food but have expectations when paying over $50 for two breakfasts including coffee. (Ok Coffee $3.99/cup w/refills) (Medium sized “Belgian waffle” $11.99) (2 eggs and 2 bacon added $7.99-I asked if they could just duo one egg and one bacon and I was told no.) (Huevos Rancheros $15.99 I think which would be the better choice on menu considering the portions) If it was just me alone I’d give them one star."
"I've had this place saved in my phone as a place to go to for a few years now. We finally got to go. Parking is a little tough. There's limited street parking. I had gone in to place my to go order while my husband looked for parking. Upon entering, this place is decorated typical diner style. Random pictures and posters. It's definitely been around a while. It's shown some wear and random clutter. I came shortly after them opening, and they were pretty busy already. There was one guy taking the order on a huge yellow notepad and one cook. The guy taking my order was super nice. I placed my order and just observed the area. The cook seemed like he had burned some things, and I was afraid it was our order. We ordered; 1. Loco moco - I was skeptical of this, but I figured I'd give it a try. The patty was cooked perfectly, and the gravy was delicious. The mac salad was basic, nothing special. I mostly ate the rice and patty 2. Corn beef hash - This is my typical safe go-to as a backup. He even asked me if I was ok with peppers on it. Which let me believe it was made fresh in-house. It was amazing with the fluffy cooked scrambled eggs, I didn't need anything else. 3. Breakfast sandwich with bacon and sausage - This was ginormous. It was cheesy, and the way the egg just dripped down the middle, it was heaven. 4. French toast - This was crispy and sweet. You didn't even need syrup. Overall, the experience wasn't bad, and the food was tasty. I will definitely be back the next time we are in the area."
