"Little hike with a good view, never too busy and easy to get to. dogs are welcome. Its mostly an access road to a water tower, so the path is paved the whole way."
"I lived in Thousand Oaks for two years. This was my families favorite quick “hike” to get some extra cardio. Weathers perfect in Cali so we did this year round. I miss it. On one of our walks back in 2022 we finally saw a Tarantula. The name is no joke, this little thing was crossing the pavement lol"
"There is a lot of street parking on either side. The trail is also paved so make sure its not too hot on a sunny day for dogs. There was no restroom that I saw nearby, but there might be one close near the Kids Adventure Garden or at Conejo Valley Botanic Garden. I came here with my two small dogs and they couldn't make it up the hill in one go haha. Had to carry them up about 1/2 the distance. The incline for the later half is much steeper than the beginning. I would say that its reasonably easy for most folks to walk in. Carrying two little dogs made it a bit harder. The views of the surrounding area were great."
"It's 300 feet elevation in a half mile. Good exercise. Great for walking dogs. It is paved so does not get too muddy. Really fantastic, unobstructed views at higher elevations. There is no parking lot so street parking."
"I’ve hiked up here well over a dozen times and the view from the top never gets old. Especially at sunset. To die for. There’s a nice little bench at the top for you to sit at and just watch the valley. Getting to the top offered a beautiful 360 degree view of the Conejo valley. Including immediate views of Madroña Elementary School and Redwood Middle School."
