Newbury Gateway Park
About the Business
Newbury Gateway Park, located at 2250 Michael Drive in Thousand Oaks, California, is a beautiful seven-acre park that offers a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The park, which was acquired in 1984, features native plants, including an oak grove and two dedicated oak trees near the entrance, making it a perfect spot for nature lovers.
In 1999, four acres of the park were developed into a neighborhood park with funding from a cooperative agreement with the City of Thousand Oaks. In 2011, CRPD entered into easements with the city for the construction of an infiltration swale, which helps capture and filter storm water to prevent flooding at Newbury Road and Michael Drive.
Visitors to Newbury Gateway Park can enjoy a leisurely stroll, have a picnic, or simply relax and take in the natural beauty of the surroundings. The park is open daily from 7:00am to 10:00pm, and for more information, visitors can contact 805-495-6471 or email [email protected] Don't forget to fill out their website feedback form to help improve your experience at this wonderful park.

"Access by parking isn't the greatest but a nice park to walk to and"
"Nice playground right off the freeway with large grassy area and picnic tables. Shaded benches near the playground. No parking or bathrooms."
"Nice park but crawing with hoomeless, now. Yesterday one of them was took a dump next to the playground. The city of Newburry Park need to do something to stop this. As a California tax payer (that means we pay a lot in taxes) we deserve a clean safe place for the families to enjoy."
"I visit this park daily with my dog and I must say, the grass is always well-maintained. It's a popular spot for dog owners to take their furry friends for a walk, despite its smaller size. Although it may not be as big as some people expect, it's usually not too crowded, which is great for dogs to have the space to sniff around. Overall, I highly recommend this park to any dog parent looking for a well-maintained and uncrowded spot to take their pooch."
"This park is definitely not 7 acres, it’s about 1/2 acre tops. There aren’t really any trails except a couple paths that either lead into a residential community or lead back to the start point. Why anyone would leave this place a decent review is beyond my comprehension. There’s no parking, Just go somewhere else"
