"So new the parking lot doesn't show on Google Maps nor did I see a sign naming this new in late 2023 two-lane paved trail. I pushed someone in a wheelchair for about 3/4 mile and back. I used two lovely benches to rest and saw at least one more further along the trail. Interpretive signs explain the restoration of this salt marsh. On a later visit, discovered this trail intersects with Hikshari Trail near the Elk River Access Area."
"This is a newly restored salt water marsh. We look forward to watching Nature reclaim the area now that the former cow pasture has been sculpted to allow for tidal flows."
