"The lady helping me out was nice but super pushy to the point the lady in alterations came out and started cutting the straps of the dress while it was on me as a tactic to pressure me into the dress further! I never said “Yes to the dress” and did not pay for it yet to even have it start getting altered! She continued by telling me that the dress has been on hold since November for another bride who paid a deposit on the gown and never came to pick up the gown because her fiancé left her. Then proceeded to tell me that she would help me due to my budget and reduce it by $50 but then added $60 for alterations. I told her that things changed since I’ve been to another bridal shop and decided to lower my budget and she was repeating that they’re doing me a favor. Also the dress was 2 sizes too big and I had mentioned I really want a corseted dress. She stated it would be another $250 to add the corset to the gown. She didn’t really let me look around the shop to see if I found even a PROM dress for my wedding that would fit my budget. But she kept looking me up and down and stated “none of the prom dresses would fit you; we don’t have them in your size!” Mind you… their website shows young bigger girls too! Even the owner kept mentioning about the dress being one of the last ones in the store and that she will take it out of hold for me. I could only imagine what kind of story she makes up for the next bride about why that gown is still there! But all in all I did not get the gown and found one online and OMG it’s gorgeous!!! If you like car salesmen tactics then knock yourself out… this shop was not my cup of tea! Update: when was the dress ever $478?! It was offered to me at $672!!! On top of that it’s not how I “FELT” it’s how you treated me. Very pushy!!! Again yes I had a tight window and a tight budget but it still doesn’t excuse the pushiness and guilt trip I was feeling from both manager and the sale lady… because she cut the gown before I even said “yes”! Which again I did not… super car sales tactic to me!"

"I came to Minerva's outlet searching for my 30 year vow renewal dress, something that makes me feel like a million bucks without spending that much. They have a healthy inventory of beautiful gowns, most under $2000. I deducted one star because the bulk of it appears to be sizes 10 & 12, but there are still a good amount of other sizes going all the way to size 28. Denise, the stylist, found me in the sea of fabric and was very kind, helping as I narrowed my search. She also took care of a few first time brides, while I was there, and treated all of them wonderfully too. Her knowledge of the inventory saved a lot of time and although I didn't leave with a dress, one is a top contender and I may be returning sooner rather than later."

"Loved the staff- and got an amazing dress! When I first came in, it was a bit overwhelming. Tons of beautiful dresses hanging everywhere, and the staff just motion me towards the racks of dresses when I asked about picking out a prom dress. I only had just over a week until prom and had a big failure for Two separate dresses that I bought online that were not as advertised when I got them. I soon figured out what size we were supposed to be looking for and just grab the dresses that looked most likely to work. When it came to trying on the dresses, the staff was very attentive and helpful. They gave advice about alternate dresses when one didn’t seem to work. The staff went above and beyond at this point, helping me out. I noticed the dresses were way more intricate and well-made than the ones that I had gotten online. Ended up with the most amazing prom dress ever. I had gone to a couple other stores before ending up at Minerva’s. I am so glad I didn’t buy something sooner. The dress I got at Minerva’s was way better!"
