"Worst cardiovascular facility I've ever been to in my life. I'm diagnosed with HCM and was looking for a local doctor. I found Dr. Mathias, and my first visit was terrible. I asked some concerning questions about my heart, and his response was, "If you want to live, you must take this medication." Every question I asked got a harsh response. I'm already aware of my condition and know what to do; I was only asking questions to find out what could better my condition, not to be told, "If you don't take this, you will die soon." At the end of the appointment, I told him about a minor procedure that needed clearance. He stated he would add the clearance letter to my chart so I could bring it to the visit. I misplaced the letter, and both the facility and I called to ask for them to fax the clearance. The facility lied and told me and the office they faxed over the clearance. I waited for over 2 hours, called back, and they said there was no clearance letter and I had to wait until after my stress test to get a clearance letter. So, Dr. Mathias cleared me, then uncleared me, and his facility lied about faxing the clearance, then tried to cover it up by saying nobody told me that. Everything is prerecorded, and the nurses at the surgeon's office even heard them say they faxed the clearance. I spent 5 hours prepped on the surgeon's table just to reschedule due to this establishment. Do not go to this careless, unprofessional facility! Worst office in Central Florida!"
