"DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR!!This office was the worst I’ve ever been to! They’re herding cattle in and out and could care less about their patients. After waiting an hour past my appointment time, I was called back just to go to another waiting room because no rooms were ready. Another 30 minutes later I was taken into an exam room. The doctor finally came in after another 15 minute wait and spent all of 10 minutes with me. After explaining to the doctor my symptoms beings sever weight loss, rapid heart palpitations, rapid skin temperature changes the doctor ordered colonoscopy and a CT although I had no stomach complaint. Being told that the CT was to evaluate for a possible tumor, I took promt action and got the CT 2 days later. After calling this office multiple times to get a quick follow up or just phone results of the CT I was given an appointment for 10 days later. If this doctor cared at all about his patients he would never make someone wait that long with this on their mind. A 5 minute phone call to say clear CT or not would’ve been great. Ended up having the results sent to my primary and got the results that day. I personally called multiple times the day I got the CT done and personally had the info faxed to their office 3 times at which point every time I called was told they didn’t receive it. Finally 10 days later on the day of my appointment the nurse called me and literally had no idea what the appointment was for. During my. Initial appointment I was told I could not get any relief at this time due to the doctor not liking the medication I was on. However they did call in a $1200 stool softener that I didn’t even need. Unprofessional and disorganized is the best word I can use to describe this place. If you care about your health or that of your family members, find another doctor! The treatment I received from this office was beyond atrocious and the most common thing I found was that nobody took responsibility for anything. It is my opinion that if you are having serious issues that this office will allow you to go multiple weeks with absolutely no check up! Absolute worst place ever! Also charged me again to tell me results of the test they ordered! HORRIBLE!"
"I had the honor of being recommended to Dr.Garg by my former GI doctor, whom I hated to leave but insurance dictates. I was in Broward Health this weekend and Dr.Gupta took care of me, they are in the same office, His bedside manner was thorough and made things simple to understand. Before the procedure he came and spoke to me and a peaceful manner and I felt at ease. Folks I have spoken to about him say he and his partner are one of the tops in their field. I have all Broward Health doctors and am thankful for the utmost care I have received since my birth at Broward General six decades ago."
"He performed a colonoscopy on me on Jan 24th and scheduled an appointment to discuss details pos procedure on Feb the 29th 35 DAYS later the appointment os scheduled for 02/29/2024 at 2 pm I arrived at the clinic at 1:45 pm waited 55 minutes inside of a room and decide not to wait any longer long story short today is March 29th and till today I have no idea of what it was done neither him or his staff never contacted me ir anything similar and I ask my self no wonder why people are afraid of this procedure and I’m not an expert in the subject but would this categorize as a poor practice pos procedure? I will let you decide fir your self BUT I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND GARG G.I neither will ever again step any facility he may work."
"Had a recent procedure with Dr. Garg. The team in his office were kind and compassionate. Dr. Garg, listened to me and explained everything to me in a way that I can understand. Dr. Garg, Never change your recipe. You and your team are outstanding. Thank you again for being so kind."
"Unbelievable experience at this office. At the time that I made my appointment; the associate I spoke with Karla assured me that she would verify my insurance and if she did not get back to me that day; or the following morning; that means that I was cleared and good to go. I requested that she please contact me as soon as possible if the insurance came back not in network; so the I can either find another GI or so that I can rearrange my work schedule accordingly to accommodate my appointment. Fast forward one week later; I arrived to my appointment 12/27. I completed all the necessary documentation and waited for about 45mins and I then got called up to the receptionist desk and was told that I could not be seen; because they did not verify my insurance and don’t know my co-pay. The young lady says to me that she sees that I have benefits; but don’t know the co-pay amount. I was then told that the best they can do is I either would have to pay $176 for the visit or reschedule per Jada. The young girls proceeded to talk amongst themselves and was like well she’s going to have to reschedule. I asked to speak with the office manager (Carlos) and one person said he was in a room with a patient and then 2mins later I was then told he was gone for the day. At the point I was extremely livid. I advised them that I knew my co-pay amount and would pay that; but they refused. I asked to bill me and they did not want to do that neither. No one wanted to take accountability for their lack of efficiency and pretty much wanted to shrug their shoulders. One young lady even said, why is she still here. I eventually asked to speak to Dr. Garg and his assistant Kim comes out. The front desk girls tell her what’s going and she also say; there’s nothing we can do and as I became more annoyed; she proceed to smirk and walk off and said I’ll talk to the doctor when he’s done seeing his patients. After waiting an additional 45mins. By then it was almost 5pm; and I had arrived at 3:24pm for my 3:30 appointment. The doctor finally decided to talk with me. He proceeded with I have nothing to do with insurances and was more concerned about how would I pay if I did accrue a bill; before he saw me. I told him I can pay for the co-pay now if that would give them reassurance and that I know that they are indeed in-network; however his notion was more fixed on if I was capable of affording his services and cared less about the reason for my visit to begin with. He then asked what was the urgency of my visit. After explaining what has been happening with me (chest, upper gastric abdominal pain, sob and acute nausea and vomiting periodically) and that my cardiologist recommended a GI consult after visiting the ER 2 weeks prior. I told him I just want to be seen by a doctor because of my concerns. I felt disgusted and traded by the same industry I give my all to day in and day out. Healthcare is not that same anymore. He finally gave me a mediocre work up and proceeded to recommend a endoscopy. But then sort of retracted his desires and said what do I want because he said he would not know what my benefits are after the 1st of the year and in essence wanted to be conservative. I’m blessed to say that I have a really good federal insurance plan; and would say I have very decent one at that. Granted the doctor who recommended me is in the same exact medical network/ group as him. But beside that; He gave me an RX for anti-acid meds, and recommended ultrasound and said the office will call me the following morning if I will accrue a bill. After 2 weeks; which is after the New Year; they would reverify my insurance and see if then if we should proceed with and Endo if the anti-acid does not work. Granted I’m in the healthcare business myself and in most cases I would have walked away and the only reason why I stayed is because I needed relief of my symptoms. Clearly patient care and accountability was not their primary concern."
