About the Business
Welcome to St. Timothy Lutheran Church, a place of worship and community located at 812 East Tarpon Avenue, Tarpon Springs, Florida. As a congregation deeply rooted in faith, we are dedicated to seeking truth and meaning in Christ's promise. Our mission is "to be a caring church, sharing Jesus Christ with the world, by offering help, hope, and home."
At St. Timothy, we strive to build a true community that uplifts one another through service and compassion. We are committed to addressing the needs of our local community, as demonstrated through initiatives like Sarah's Tent. This community meal, held every Thursday at 10:30 am, is part of the Tarpon Springs everyday meals program. It offers an opportunity for everyone to come together, share a meal, and support those who are experiencing food insecurity. We invite you to join us in this mission, whether as a helping hand or a listening ear.
Our beliefs are centered on God the Father, Jesus Christ as the Son of God, and the Holy Spirit. We uphold the teachings of Christ's death, resurrection, ascension, and second coming. Through our preaching, we emphasize the cost of discipleship and a theology of the cross.
We are passionate about engaging with the scriptures and offer a variety of Bible study opportunities for all levels of faith experience. Whether you're a new believer or seasoned in your faith journey, we encourage you to join our Young Adults, Youth, Men, Women, or Multigenerational Bible study groups. These gatherings provide a space for deeper understanding and community connection.
Our church office operates remotely on Mondays from 9 am to 3 pm, and in-person from Tuesday to Thursday, 9 am to 3 pm. For more information about our local and global ministries, or to get involved, please email us at [email protected]. We look forward to welcoming you into our compassionate community, where together, we can make a difference in the world.

"Lord said to help everyone! Including the less fortunate. No matter their sin! Understandable that you want to protect your family, and children, and I agree that your complaints are valid, because mine are the same! But a different attitude is what the Lord desires from those who complain but not help. Start by educating your kids to the dangers of the world, oh! , by the way, the ones that will never go away, and probably not get better anytime soon!! More can be done with a attitude of what can I do? Not blaming others. When you are a sinner too!"
"JUNKIE ENABLERS!! Dont turn Tarpon into San Fran!! The lineup daily of Junkies that come to their place are destroying the safety in this small town!! Believe me.. We are from Calif and didnt expect to see this here! We see these junkies every am lined up for handout. These are NOT people just down on their luck or BETWEEN JOBS!!! They are full blown addicts, urinating behind trees, leaving needles behind and ENDANGERING THIS HARDWORKING COMMUNITY!! Children can not ride their bike safely here. Families cannot walk safely here! Do you care about people who CHOOSE DRUGS or people who choose families!!!"
"Outstanding. Pastor Curt delivers teaching and preaching on faith, hope and love. He also sings. Spreading the Gospel truth of Jesus Christ is paramount and service to our community is our mission. People in need of food are welcomed. Love and service to community are just two of many missions here. Receiving the love of Jesus is paramount. I am a member now because the Word is taught with clarity and truth, the pastor speaks plain talk. It is direct. One will hear lessons and teachings on worship and descipleship. Too we are soundly taught why it is truly important to share the gospel and the love Jesus has for each of us with each other. I am thrilled to be a member of this beautiful humble church."
"This church is very welcoming to strangers. I attended services with my sister, Karen, when I visited her. Pastor Curt delivered a meaningful message of God's love. I will return the next time I'm in Florida."
"This is a VERY Welcoming non judgemental community involved church. A loving house of worship & good people. Down to earth Pastor. Open to people of all walks in life. They always need younger volunteers to help with community outreach projects."
