Meet Dr. Sunil Mehra

Dr. Mehra's medical journey began at the University Medical College in Amritsar, India, where he earned his medical degree. He further honed his skills at Victoria Jubilee Medical College Hospital in India before moving to the United States for his residency in Internal Medicine at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident. His training culminated in a fellowship at the LI Jewish Hillside Medical Center, where he also served as Chief Fellow.

With board certifications in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, Critical Care Medicine, and Geriatrics, Dr. Mehra is dedicated to treating conditions such as sleep apnea, COPD, pneumonia, and lung cancer. Fluent in English, Urdu, Hindi, and Spanish, Dr. Mehra is committed to making his patients feel comfortable and understood.

Dr. Mehra is not only a clinician but also a respected educator. As a Clinical Professor at The Icahn School of Medicine, he shapes the next generation of medical professionals in Pulmonary, Critical Care, & Sleep Medicine. A fellow of the Society of Critical Care Medicine, the American College of Physicians, the American College of Chest Physicians, and the American College of Angiology, Dr. Mehra is recognized for his clinical and academic achievements.
