About the Business
The Floating Hospital, located at 21-01 41st Avenue in New York, United States, is a healthcare institution that serves as a safety net for nearly 27,000 children and their families annually. The majority of the families they serve are living below the Federal Poverty Line, with 40% of them being children. The institution provides unrestricted healthcare and relief to these families, ensuring that they have access to the care they need.
At Camp Rise Up, children have the opportunity to experience a traditional summer camp experience, complete with activities such as swimming, hiking, and boating. They also attend classes on important topics like communication, peer pressure, consent, sexuality, and identity. For many campers, this is their first time experiencing nature and being away from the stress of shelter living.
In addition to healthcare services, The Floating Hospital also provides families with essential items such as clothing, food, personal hygiene products, baby necessities, toys, and books. They also offer transportation services to remove barriers to care for families throughout the city.
The institution is committed to supporting families in the long term, offering tailored health education, social service support, and comprehensive behavioral health programs to promote healthy lifestyles. For over 155 years, The Floating Hospital has provided expert medical care to all individuals in need, regardless of their insurance status, immigration status, or ability to pay.
By supporting The Floating Hospital, you can help provide essential services to those in need, such as funding transportation for medical appointments or enabling an unemployed mother living in a shelter to receive necessary care and re-enter the workforce.

"Front desk ladies are terribly rude and lack basic customer service. There’s been many times that front desk staff won’t answer the phone or if they do answer, they place the call on mute for Us to hang up and give up trying to book. It’s inhumane how these employees treat people, especially in a medical setting. Before When you check in, they hand you a iPad to fill out a questionnaire. However now they ask the questions thru the glass and at the end of the questionnaire they give themselves a good rating on the iPad which is also ridiculous."
"I thought the hospital was pretty decent. However, when it was time to upload my results to my online portal it was a huge hassle getting in touch with my primary care doctor after she failed to upload them. Also, I had BV and nobody reached out to me as if it was an urgent matter, my doctor kind of just brushed it off. I still haven't received my November Results and I been tryna retrieve the whole December."
"I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction with the dental care provided by Dr. Aymat at Floating Hospital Dental Clinic. Following the administration of anesthesia, her evident hesitation not only undermined my confidence in the clinic's professionalism but also revealed a lack of competence and professionalism. Dr. Aymat's demeanor was unprofessional and unfriendly, leaving me with serious concerns about her ability to perform her duties effectively. I insist that immediate and decisive action be taken to address this matter, ensuring that measures are implemented to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future. The reputation and quality of care at Floating Hospital Dental Clinic are at stake, and it is crucial that steps are taken to maintain the highest standards of professionalism and patient care."
"Thorough care in the medical wing. Would NOT recommend dental, but they're not bad. Janice Cristobol from medical has an amazing bedside manner. Dental just could really use some work. The new person they hired went way deeper than she had to for a little stain."
"We made an appointment with the dentist at 9 am. They confirmed the appointment and told us they could send us a car, and we agreed. We didn’t wait for the vehicle on the appointed day and went alone. When we arrived at the hospital, it turned out that our appointment was not for 9 am but from 9–11 am, and we had to go on a first-come, first-served basis. We were one of the first to arrive, and as we were told by two people ahead of us, but time passed, new people came, they were called ahead of us, and we all waited, 1.5 hours passed, and we still didn’t get a reception and left. I highly do not recommend this hospital."
