"I had been going to this location for well over 30 years, back when it was Beth Israel. It was great and worth the schlep from Brooklyn. I had no problem making appointments and the medical professionals and receptionists were professional and helpful. However, recently I have experienced last minute cancellations (even on the day of the appointment) and an inability to even make appointments. "It's too early to set up an appointment, call back in 2 months" 2 months later: "call back in 1 month". 1 month later: "we don't have any appointments available" "You'll have to go to 2nd Ave to see a doctor" If I'm going to get the run-around I can get that in Brooklyn so I switched to a medical facility in Brooklyn closer to where I live, that my insurance company recommended. I hope I have a better experience there."
"The wait time to get a live person is ridiculous. I received a voicemail while at work, the day before my appointment to call and reschedule due to the clinic’s inability to send insurance authorization in a timely manner for approval. I spent half an hour on my lunch break waiting for someone and now over 20 minutes after work. I had to cancel my appointment."
"The only professionals in this clinic are the security downstairs, the receptionist and the girl who does the check out. Dear Dr. Jennifer Lehman : Why didn't you even ask me if I was comfortable in the presence of an unknown man? Why when I told you that I’m in strong pain already 4mnth in a row, bra doesn't work for me, that ibuprofen and Tylenol don't work for me- you sent a standardized piece of paper with recommendations for breast pain (to wear sport bra, take ibuprofen or Tylenol and etc? Why did you leave the office without saying a word? You just left. What to do next, or at least goodbye? I had to find a nurse by myself to find out my next steps. I thought maybe I was wrong, but when a woman came up to me after the appointment and she was just as shocked by an appointment where you don't get a chance to ask questions, where everything just goes on just to get it over with. The woman came from upstate specifically to see this doctor. How is that even possible? Now I have to wait until June 13 to see another doctor. Why? Why would you, a clinic that positions itself as the best clinic in NYC, allow such doctors to work?"
"Had the pleasure of being treated by Doctor Dinlenc of the urology department for kidney stones. After being dissatisfied with my first doctor, I came to him for a second opinion where he explained to me the first doctor’s treatment pathway but suggested a more effective alternative that exposed me to less radiation. He was very considerate of my concerns, gave me time to ask my questions, and educated me on the risks and benefits of all options. I ultimately decided to proceed with his procedure. Post-op, the recovery was very straightforward and I found my energy levels return to normal after 3 days. Furthermore, post-op he again held space for me to ask my questions and gave me excellent explanations. In summary, I am extremely pleased with the treatment I received at the mount sinai urology department. They treated me with respect, consideration, and understanding. A true team of professionals that are in the field for the right reasons. Thank you Doctor D & team!"
