"I am so pleased with my recent colonoscopy with Dr. Crespin. He's professional, attentive and thorough. West Side GI Center staff were polite, efficient and helpful. My post-op recovery was excellent."
"Medically, my experience was fine. My doctor uses this facility, so I went there today and the procedure went fine. The facility itself was mostly unremarkable, but I guess it was clean and nice. That's why I'm giving the second star. Administratively, I was unimpressed. I watched and listened as a male employee talked in a raised, nearly yelling voice to a female employee about a deposition he had to be at and how the situation they were discussing made the facility (Westside GI) look bad. What definitely makes the facility look bad is being unprofessional and complaining about your private issues in front of customers/patients. To be clear, I was sitting in registration about 4 feet from the main waiting room, and this man was no more than 6 feet from me. There were no doors between this area and the waiting room, aside from the open office door that this man was standing in and chose not to close before having this conversation. Later, when my escort came to pick me up, he sat in the waiting room and had to listen to a personal conversation between two female employees in which they used the "b" and "n" words multiple times. Talk however you want between yourselves in private, but don't have these conversations within earshot of customers/patients. Unfortunately you don't really choose this place as a patient—your doctor chooses it as the place they do their procedures, and if you want them to do the procedure then you go where they tell you to go. That said, I'll do what I can not to go back to this place, and have already told my doctor the same. I've been to a lot of medical facilities that many people would consider "lower end" than Westside GI, and those other facilities were much better run and more professional."
"I feel compelled to leave a review after my colonoscopy this morning (and reviewing so many poor reviews last night which made me nervous). I had an appointment at 8am and arrived at 7:45. Everyone was extremely nice and supportive. I was prepped and ready to start the procedure by 8:20 and woke up at 8:55. Anesthesiologist was great as were the nurses and Dr. de Lopez, and the office was very new and clean."
"Waited over an hour before they even gave me the "necessary" pregnancy test. . No information given and attitude when asked how much longer this would be- after AN HOUR after my appointment was supposed to start is not an unreasonable request. Front desk was rude and more interested in chit chatting among themselves about internal issues rather than dealing with patients. Worst experience for colonoscopy in the past 10 years of getting them. Highly recommend going anywhere else. Unfortunately this is where my Dr is based. Would rate 0 if had the option."
"I had a rather disappointing experience at the medical office. The receptionist called to confirm my appointment, but the call lacked a proper greeting, and there was no confirmation that she was speaking to the patient. She spoke very quickly and abruptly hung up, not allowing me the opportunity to ask any questions. To add to the frustration, my scheduled 11 am appointment wasn't addressed until 2:50 pm. During my extended wait, the office's atmosphere was far from professional, with other patients playing loud music as if they were at home. If possible, I would strongly recommend seeking alternatives to this place."
