"I had a terrible experience at a medical office recently and I feel the need to share it. This was the worst medical office I have ever seen. I decided to leave a comment to let people know about it because they don't seem to have basic medical ethics at all. I went in for my annual check-up for myself and work, and I was surprised when the receptionist asked me to pay $25 as a copay, even though I don't have to pay a copay for my annual check-up. it is said on my ins card. When I questioned this, she also requested an additional $25 for filling out the annual check-up paper for my work. I asked for an adjustment as $50 seemed excessive, especially since I didn't need to pay a copay for my annual check-up. The receptionist then asked if I take any medication, to which I replied no. She insisted that I still had to pay $50 no matter what. I found this to be completely unreasonable. She is been my PCP years. It was disappointing to see that Dr. Jia Park cares more about money than about patient care."
"She has been my primary MD since 2017. I didn't go for a follow up checkup during the pandemic. She was an excellent doctor, very thorough in her assessment and treatment. I don't know what has happened now. I went for a physical last month. She told me: "You know you have a thyroid problem?". No, I Don't bc she never told me that and I have never been diagnosed with one in my entire life. I described my knee pains to her and she said I have arthritis, without looking at them, examining them or waiting for me to go get an x-ray. She wrote a script for Meloxicam, which I had to call back multiple times for them to send it to my pharmacy. The instructions say the side effects of that medication is it can cause a heart attack or a stroke that can result in death! So obviously I'm not taking that. My blood work results came in on her electronic records system a week after I saw her. My cholesterol levels and my thyroid function tests were in bold red letters, clearly indicating a problem. I called and emailed her for the results. First she said I had "borderline" high cholesterol. I asked about the thyroid tests, and she didn't respond. THREE weeks later she left me a voice mail that I have to go to an endocrinologist about my thyroid! I am so angry. She left me a msg with the name of the doctor, which I couldn't understand, and his phone #. Obviously I had to call her office back to obtain a referral. It doesn't take 3 weeks to give lab results, and if something is significantly Wrong with my health I should have been made aware of it immediately. And why can't she prescribe thyroid medication? I am really upset. That is not adequate treatment and care."
"Rude workers what happend to the old nice workers there ? I called because the doctor left a voice mail and couldn't hear her well I also wanted to know my results were the girl was screaming nasty tells me listen to my voice mail Sighs With yells at me she isn't able to control her emotions do not work there . I told her we'll could I know what the results are she goes listen to ur voice mail I tell her I CANT HEAR MY VOICE MAIL THATS WHY I CALLED . IDK WTH WAS HER PROBLEM ."
"Dr.Park is a very thorough physician and takes the time to listen to questions and answers them all. I will recommend her to anyone in need of a competent doctor."
"Doctor is very rude and steps too. I won't say anything about my experience and feelings in her office. But it was worst in my life. Patients visit her bc they're ill or have health issue. She doesn't have to be kind or nice. But at least you shouldn't hurt Pt's feelings. I don't expect doctors respect patients. BUT YOU SHOULDN'T LOOK DOWN ON THEM."
