"Orchard Heights was the best facility for dementia care for our family member. The staff was very kind and compassionate during this difficult transition. The facility was clean and well kept. I highly recommend Orchard Heights for care."
"If I ever had a family member or friend that needed to stay in a health care facility this is where I would hope to send them. I've been to various facilities in the wny area this is by far my favorite. great staff, organization, activities for the residents, it's clean and it feels like home."
"My father was in memory care for 50 days in 2021. He was sent to the hospital twice bleeding. The second time he had a head injury with profuse bleeding. He had Alzheimer's so was unable to communicate what happened. We were told he fell from his bed, for which the injury seemed unlikely. As we thought about it, we realized we ignored his consistent insurance that he leave. At the time we thought it was his disease, but in hindsight, we realized he had been in two other facilities and had no such request. We believe that he was hurt deliberately. Also while there my mother witnessed him being yelled at disrespectfully. Thankfully we decided to move him to elder Wood where he spent the next three months very calmly before he passed away. Choosing orchard heights was the worst decision we could have made!"
"They were so thoughtful and took amazing care of my grandma before she passed. It was always clean, and they always made sure she was cleaned up and the staff was always engaging with her and the others around her. Meals were great, and I loved getting to know the nurses and other residents."
"This is by far the worst nursing home in all of WNY, and it has the reputation as such for a reason. My grandmother was admitted here and from day one, it was clear this facility's priority was MONEY. I have never seen so many injuries on my grandmother, even when she was living alone. They often refused family to visit. They often refused to let us even speak to her. They continuously BREAK FEDERAL LAWS as it suits them. The last time I called, I was unable to reach my grandmother so I was transferred to the administrator, Colleen, who refused to give me any information on my grandmother. She would not even answer my question as to whether she was still alive. As someone who has "been in healthcare for 22 years," one would think Colleen would know the laws and regulations of elder law, and at least have a small amount of decency and humanity. I had to call the Orchard Park Police to do a welfare check in order to find out my grandmother was moved out of their facility. This place is a disgrace and should be shut down for their shameful acts."
