"Southern Tier Hardwoods is an incredible business to work with. My recent experience with them took me back to the value of old fashioned integrity. We'd bought a beautiful custom oak door from them over 2 years ago & had our carpenter hang it(internal door). I should have treated it soon but life has been very busy & I didn't get to it and a few months after being hung it split apart in one of the upper panels. Again, due to being very busy(Do you see a pattern here?) & trying to find the receipt, I didn't get to contacting them right away so by the time I did it had been 2 years & some. They were wonderful! They looked up the purchase, I took it in to them, they explained why it had happened due to not being treated & how they had remedied their technique so that couldn't happen now even if the door wasn't treated. They had the door ready to pick up the next business day! They actually seemed excited about the chance to fix the door for us, at no charge, even though it was split due to our ignorance. WOW!! These people take pride in their products and really stand by their craftsmanship! HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company for your special hardwood lumber and custom doors. Thank you Southern Tier Hardwoods!"
