City of Buffalo Impound Lot

"Too bad I can't leave zero stars. This place is terrible. Police would not let me call my own AAA service and made me take it to the impound lot. My accident happened late on a Friday and they are closed on weekends so my car had to sit there until Monday morning. For the 2 days that it sat there they rummaged through my whole vehicle. They stole a pair of my work gloves which were very expensive, I had about $30 in change in my middle console, they stole all of that. I had an ashtray in my car that had a few blunt roaches in it and they even stole my entire ashtray with my blunt roaches in it. Effin scumbag people."

"My family went here after our car was recovered after it was stolen. A man on the phone told us we could drive our car out and when we arrived we talked with the women there and she told us we couldn't and had no sympathy or any desire to help after this terrible event this women was an absolute witch and I hope no one ever has to deal with her again."

"My rental KIA was stolen and found one week later by Buffalo police and subsequently taken to the impound lot on Dart St. I was told I could not retrieve my belongins because only the rental company can access the car. This policy needs to change. If you have a rental agreement you should be able to retrieve your personal property. I don't want to drive off in it. It's been two weeks and still nothing"

"My car was recently stolen and I was devastated and unsure of all the next steps to take. The car was taken on a Saturday so I was advised to call the impound lot on Monday to see if it was there (it was). I was scared to call because of some of the comments on here, but the woman who answered the phone was SO NICE. I am pretty sure I asked her the same question like 3 different times because I was still upset and not thinking clearly and she was so patient and explained everything that I needed to do. No surprises here - the impound office/lot itself doesn't give Disney World vibes - it's not supposed to. The staff person at the window was helpful and had me on my way quickly. I proceeded to the lot and was met by yet another alarmingly nice person. He showed me right where to find my victimized KIA and the rest is just really depressing and has nothing to do with the impound lot. Bottom line, the people who work here did not add to my problems, and I really appreciated that."
